It was a beautiful morning in NYC, and fans poured into Rumsey Playfield to see JB and Demi Lovato perform on Good Morning America.

Sadly, my plans for spending my morning in Central Park with great friends and great music didn’t work out, but I could still watch it all unfold. OK, I slept through most of it, but I caught the gorgeous videos at abcnews.com, all of which I’ve included in this post.

It was the normal GMA setup, some chitchat, a few songs, a little more chitchat. They performed “LA Baby”, “Burnin’ UP”, “Can’t Back Down” with Demi (and some dancers – *cringe*), “SOS”, and “Please Be Mine” (swoon).

Yes, the dancers were scary, but I love Nick on drums and Joe on guitar. I am just going to have to come to term with dancers, aren’t I? *Sigh*, whatevs…they looked great, and sounded great.

Check out the performances and interviews after the jump.

Looking good out there!

So…still no definitive word on when we will next get to bask in the musical vibery of the Jonas boys et al, collectively or separately (can you believe “Who I Am” has been out for almost 2 months?  Where did the time go?) And the same goes for Bulldozer (we’re waiting! so patiently!) but this past week was a fairly busy one on an official level, anyway…

Joe & Demi surprised us (or at least me?) with an unexpected turn on the high profile (if not always hospitable) American Idol soundstage to perform their Friends for Change duet single “Make a Wave”. It was a polarizing choice for many fans, but they did an admirable job which received the usual fair balance of adoration & praise to criticism & disdain, from all the usual camps.  Joe redeemed himself at least a bit, in some eyes, for his less than stellar Idol judging stint, especially with the post-performance stage banter, and Joe & Demi continue to blur the lines & fuel plenty of chatter over their public/private pairing with a post-show visit to Ryan Seacrest (see below the chop).

The KCAs followed the typical awards show arc of a slow build to an ultimately anticlimactic result. The main benefit for Jonas fans was a new set of red orange carpet shots since – in contrast to their last visit to the KCA stage and their pretty adorable hosting duties at the Teen Choice Awards, what a difference a year makes! – they never touched the stage, neither to perform nor to collect a blimp in either of their nominated categories. (They were passed over as Favorite Musical Group in favor of the Black Eyes Peas, and Nick & Joe losing Favorite TV Actor to Dylan Sprouse.)  This all had a bit of a bizarro world tone to it, for anysuperfan who watched, but such is Nickelodeon, & kids, circa 2010. But I think Jonas fans and Jonases alike can easily take this “crushing defeat” with grace…right? 😉

Off the tube, we continue to be treated to pretty steady Twitter updates from Nick, Joe & Bulldozer. John Taylor celebrated his 28th birthday (Happy Happy, JT!).  John also gave confirmation that the suspected Papa Jonas Twitter is the real deal (and there’s some pretty sweet stuff in there). While Kevin remains….mysterious in that venue (love you anyway, Kevin!), is it just me or have Nick’s tweets been a little warmer, sweeter and less vague in the past few days?  I know I’ve enjoyed them.

All of this said, the biggest news of the week has to be saved for last.

You already know about it, I am sure. Like all good champions of their field, The Grog Blog has re-emerged from premature retirement. We have all experienced or heard of the power of JB bassist Greg Garbowsky’s blog in the past, and now the real deal is at hand again!!  If you haven’t yet, make sure to go back and read all of the old, now-revived posts (and videos!) before settling in for the future of Grog. And this is for you, Garbo:

After the jump, you’ll find a few videos from the weeks’ activities (Idol & KCA related).  What do you think of all these new developments?!

The Guys took a moment at the end of their tour to have a chat with the very nice people at Much Music. They also took the opportunity to properly introduce (our friends, your friends) Honor Society to the Canadian Fans.

This is a nice long appearance, and they talk about all sorts of things such as secret talents, Frankie, Twitter, and they answered fan questions of every ilk. They also played a game (that was very reminiscent of on they played on the Today show from last spring). Joe did a rap about coffee, concerts, and dessert, they cleared up the misconception that they take a long time to get ready, and asserted that they never fight only quarrel  (over the PS3 controller no less). It is a very cool appearance.

I have to say I was very impressed at their ability to answer questions and sign for fans at the same time. First class.

The biggest news from the show is that BOTH Joe and Nick will stand for Kevin at his wedding. Which is nice.

Honor Society performed two songs “Over You” and “Where Are You Now” and sounded great.

Watch it all after the jump!

The Guys had a great appearance on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brian last night!

They seemed mellow and relaxed, and had quite a nice chat with Conan. They talk about flocking fans, wrecking weddings, silly signs, cranky chaperones, and demonstrations of devotion (trying to keep the alliteration rolling here, but I am talking about Joe’s Single Ladies dance video).

They also have an interesting interchange (I promise, I will stop the alliteration…now) talking about how everybody has their favorite JoBro, and how it is to experience meeting fans whose favorite you are not. Kevin laments having this experience all the time and even (as described by Joe) seeing it emblazoned on a poster that read: Nick – You’re Hot, Joe – You’re Cute, Kevin – You’re OK. (I swear I saw this sign somewhere and remember thinking it was harsh).

This resulted in a #welovekevinjonas trending topic campaign on twitter. We do love you Kevin Jonas, and Joseph, and Nick, and…OK, we love all y’all!

They also performed a bit of “Lovebug” with Ed Helms adding some Scat flair, and “Paranoid.”

They talked a bit about the Philly shows too, which I loved because I am snotty like that. [Ed/Mememoi – Me too, whee!]

There was also a bit called “Life in the Year 3000” which I thought would be funny, but it really fell flat for me. It was a bunch of stale jokes in my humble opinion, I mean, at least make one Jonas Brothers joke.

Jonas Brothers fandom is an exciting and enlightening experience, Revelers.

Just when I think I have seen every bizarre, borderline-humiliating stunt the Jonas Brothers will be asked to perform in the name of CD promotion, something will come along to surprise me!

Find out what is was, after the Jump!

The Boys are making a seriously promoted appearance on Larry King Live tonight, 9pm EST/6pm PST. Shot in the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium (where we’ll be seeing them on Saturday – squeeeeee!) with 300 fans and astride the new stage setup, this looks like it could be really interesting!

Leading up, CNN sent correspondents along for the Boys’ recent European jaunt, where they noted their observations via blogs and photographs.  And the show website is chock full of even more goodies…quizzes, videos and more.

Hopefully this bodes well for the content of the interview…after the jump, check out the promo video, and come chat about your reactions to the appearance, before, during and after.  We’ll post updates as appropriate.
