You know, the way we treat these friendly cow people of the sea
Says a lot about the way we treat each other…
“Put the guitar down. Turn on the lights”…thoughts on tonight’s episode of JONAS after the jump.
I LOVED IT!
OK, OK, I am sure this comes as NO surprise to all of you, given I am such an unabashed Kevfan, and this episode is a wonderful little showcase of Kevin’s talents, but thbptbptbt to you, I thought it was great!
This episode had me laughing out loud, several times. The plot was simple and sweet, and I am still loving all of the over the top surreal bits thrown in here and there. Papa L and Frankie’s subplot was amusing, but seemed totally tacked on to the charming “how do you tell someone you like that they are bad at something without hurting their feelings” storyline.
The bit about Kevin’s voice raising in register when he lies made me crack up because I am pretty sure I do that too (MM narrows her eyes), and the “no time for songs” bits were BRILLIANT! The scene where Kevin blacks out even had my DH laughing! The Kevin and Macy characters work well with each other – like a rubber band ball of goofiness.
Kevin does sad REALLY well, and his aptitude for physical humor never ceases to amaze me. I thought the sweater bit at the end was also a nice touch.
I also love how the Lucas boys are always ready to support each other, even if it is with an awesome 80s song reference, and slightly evil schemes (Nick – I am looking at you).
Nick and Joe were great in slightly smaller roles this week, and I really enjoyed Nick’s alliteration. Stella’s spit take was hilarious. I wonder how many times she had to do that. Poor Joe.
The episode will be available on iTunes soon, is probably up on YouTube already, and it can be watched (soon) HQ for free on the JONAS site. For now, enjoy this ditty, and get pumped up to do that thing you don’t want to do. We are here for you, man.
