Good morning, everyone! Here is my (nearly) live blog of the interview and in-studio performance the Boys just gave to Alvin and Zac of Radio 105 in Milan, Italy. Pretty cool, huh?
It occurred to me as I listened to the intro (in Italian) and could only pick out words such as “Nick,” “Purity Rings,” and “Achy Breaky Heart,” that Mememoi may have been the better one to cover this appearance (since she speaks Italian and all). I am sure if there is anything of interest she will let us know once we get an opportunity to post the interview for you here.
It was a fairly basic interview (naturally), and they talked about lots of things such as how they like Italy, how they like touring, Jonas, dating, the album and school.
Check out my play by play (with screen-caps!) dopo il salto …

The live feed was lovely, and I had no problems with crashing, etc, since I have my new computer. When the camera came on the Guys were standing at the window waving at fans and were quickly moved out of shot. They all looked dapper, as usual, albeit a little jet lagged (which they admit to when asked).
We get to see them do a quick sound check for their studio performance, and Kevin bopping around to “Burnin’ Up.” Then it is off to the questions!
All questions were asked in English and then the DJs translated for the audience.
The DJs sometimes continued to banter in Italian, which is a little awkward. This resulted in Nick swaying to such a point that Joe got the sways. There was plenty of tile counting and a look of “What it the world could they be talking about? Do they know we are still here?”
They talk about how much they love Italy (and Italian girls), and how Italian fans are the best ever (Uhh, Kevin, I thought WE (the US fans) were the best ever… oh wait… we are the craziest…). They are asked where they would most like to live in the world and Nick quickly says “Chicago.” There is a funny moment, after Kevin says they have a home in Texas where the DJ comments “Why Texas?” with a level of disdain that I was unaware Italy had for Texas. Kevin simply states “it’s in the middle.”
We get to hear a little about their schedule last week and how they had a 5 am (5:30) call time, but that they are enjoying working on Jonas.
They are asked if they are different people after all of the fame and Nick says “we are just busier.”
In between segments the Guys go over to the window to wave to the fans. Kevin mouths the words to WYLMITE.
They then talk about how they are not an overnight success, how they recorded ALBL on a bus, and how they are already working on next year’s album (to come out the same Jonas time next year).
They then go into the “intimate” questions. “Are you all single?” (si x 3), “What do you like in a girl?” (must be nice to mom, brothers. Must be nice to talk to on the phone).
Then they are asked the purity ring question, to which Nick answers “We would rather talk about our music, if that is OK.” GO NICK!
Then they talk a little about school (Nick will be done soon), Frankie (Joe is looking for some little instruments for him, LOL), their crazy 6 day itinerary, and upcoming projects (Camp Rock 2).
When they are asked if there are any other Jonas siblings, Kevin says “Our dad always tells us that they tried 4 times for a girl and got us.” Kevin, I think you know we are all very happy for that.
Back to the window as they play “Lovebug”
…then they do some postcard signing for the radio station.
Then it is time to perform “Burnin Up!”
See – Dark boots.
“… into the lava…”
BIG ROB!!! He really wakes the Boys up and they really start having fun. They are asked how they met Rob (through their management team) and learn that he has been by their side all but 2 days in 2 years.
And that was pretty much that.
Lucky Fans in Milan.
Check out some pics HERE (mostly fams).
They will be posting the interview vid on Monday! But here is a taste. Their performance of “Burnin’ Up”!
Listen to the whole interview! (Just to hold you over.)
(NOTE – this video is a little fussy, you need to double click on the image and stay on the page. If you navigate away it will reset. There is a great slo-mo intro in the beginning!)
