World Tour Week 3!

Another busy week, and goodness knows what they have in store for us!  Follow along to find out!

So far we have Jonas Records, and Softball!

“Road Dogs 28; Flyers 11″

The Guys played a softball game today and they crushed it!

The three singer brothers are performing for their third time in Omaha.

Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas say they enjoy softball and have organized games in various cities on their summer tour. Omaha was no different.

The game was sponsored by Marquis Jet and Net Jet. Members of their companies along with several Creighton Girls’ Softball players, joined John Knicely, Brian Mastre, Mike McKnight, Jim Siedlecki, Malorie Maddox, and Ann McIntire on the Marquis Jet “Flyers” team.

The Jonas Brothers and their band and crew made up the other team, the “Road Dogs.”

Although it was a close game, the Road Dogs pulled out a 28 – 11 victory. (WOWT, Omaha)

Umm – I’m sorry, but you don’t “pull out” a nearly 3 to 1 victory. The Fyers were crushed, the Road Dogs dominated, and both Ray and Mike Meehan both got 4 home runs. Nice.The Dogs are currently 2-0 in their 12 game season against the fly boys. Um, not to boast or anything.

Oh, and then there is the little matter of their NEW FREAKIN’ RECORD LABEL!

You have heard us talk about them before and we hope that you have seen them at one of our shows. IT IS OFFICIAL! We started a record label with our friends at Hollywood Records and HONOR SOCIETY is the first to be signed! We are so excited about this new venture and all the things to come for our friends.

Howdy!

OK, y’all, I’m gonna change the format up a bit here with tour posts. Last year I waited for a blog to post, but with the advent of twitter (etc.) we are getting more info on a daily basis. I am going to be aggregating each tour week into one (most likely progressively epic) post. We’ll see how it goes, and I will adjust format as necessary.

I will post my favorite pictures, and videos that I find for each venue, as well as compile tweet by tweets. Now…

What I need you all to do is post your favorite pics, reviews, videos, etc. – relevant to the week’s tourdates – in the comments.

We also need a little refresher on who is going to what shows  (our dear Jonas Calendar host went offline some time ago *sniffle* so we are out of sorts in that regard). We are very excited to hear about all of your experiences!

There is no ban on anything, so feel free to post what you like. We want this to be the best summer ever!

Washington, D.C. 6.23.09 – 6.24.09

Mr. President meets President Obama, and speaks to hundreds of kids with Juvenile Diabetes as he continues his advocacy  for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as part of the biennial JDRF Children’s Congress. After meeting with NJ Senator Frank Lautenberg (above) as well, Nick will testify before the US Senate Wednesday in regards to JDRF issues. How awesome is that? Pretty awesome.

After everyone got off of the GMA stage, had some coffee (and Joe got his bagel) the whole gang hopped a plane and headed to Spain!

They slipped in (nearly unnoticed) at 3am Madrid time, and had a show at the Palacio de Deportes and are already in Paris prepping for a show tonight!

And there was some extra adventure in Madrid including the mystery of the missing time keepers, the graduation of the 16 year old phenom, and the evil encore squashing power outage monster.

Hey everyone!

We just finished our show in Madrid, Spain.

Once again, it was amazing to be with our fans here.  They are some of the most passionate fans in the world.

They were singing and dancing to every song (including the new ones).  You made us feel so welcomed and loved.

This was a great way to start our tour and the release week of our NEW CD.

The power went out in the entire building on the last note of the last song.  We were very happy we were able to complete the main show.  We wish we could have done one more for you but the power was out in the building.

BUT WE WILL BE BACK IN NOVEMBER LATER THIS YEAR.  CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN.

After a single day of covering the band, it is clear that the media attention alone would be enough to extinguish any band with an age range far older than these guys.  The barrage is relentless.  Five different countries with one-on-one interviews with all 3 guys, plus a huge press conference that the Jonases marched through as though they had been doing it for thirty years—nothing fazes them.  In fact, they came into our own interview after all of this and it was like they were seeing old friends for the first time in months.  An average age of 19 years old and total pros.

The Guys are in Santiago, Chile today for the next stop on their World Tour. They were greeted as warmly as they were in Peru, received some album certifications, and were even able to fit in a game of Wiffle ball before they went on stage!

We just finished our show here in Santiago, Chile and it was AMAZING!  It is a beautiful city with amazing people.  We have been treated so well and the fans are so passionate.

Everyone has been so great and knew EVERY WORD OF EVERY SONG.

So impressed with the fans here in Chile and Peru.

Can’t wait to see the fans in Argentina tomorrow!!!!

How awesome is that?!

They have a show there on Monday and Tuesday, and then they go on to Chile, Argentina, and Brazil before they head back over to Europe for a spell.

They are blogging, and twittering (and generally giving us lots of great content to aggregate).  W00t!

We just arrived in Peru this afternoon and it is already amazing.  We are looking out the window of our hotel and looking at a truly beautiful country.

There are thousands of fans outside the hotel.  The police were called in to control the crowd.  It is unbelievable to hear the fans in a country we have never visited before.  Thank you Peru!  Can’t wait to meet everyone.

We will be visit several other countries on this trip.  So much fun.

We just woke up to the sounds of fans screaming downstairs outside of our hotel.  What a great way to start off our new world tour.

We will be heading over to the venue for the concert later today.  The fans in Peru have already shown us so much love.  Can’t imagine what this trip is going to be like.  It truly is a dream come true.

Then first thing the next day Joe impressed us all with his zeal for tourism:

And then they bid a fond adios to Peruvian frenzy (and John Taylor’s cell phone), which ended even stronger than it began!!
