The day has finally arrived…

Bulldozer (sort of) is a reality!  Welcome to the world, the newest Jonas Brothers spinoff, one about which I am particularly excited…welcome to Ocean Grove!

24 Hours after the official launch:

• The band has fans rabid enough to capture the 30-odd seconds of music they have graciously bestowed upon us:

This new video from the Guys has it all. On its surface it is a promo to get you to watch Camp Rock 2 (which premiered tonight, by the way), but is oh so much more. First we have all of Bulldozer there. Second they are being funny because they are being guys and they are not afraid of little girls thinking they are gross (FYI they are ALL gross). And third, well… you will just have to watch it…. after the jump…

I love that it is done in a deadpan/mockumentary style.

The sad thing is, this really is how most meetings go, whether it is about making videos about farting cats/kittens or redesigning a website, they pretty much all go like this. More or less.

Here are some stats for you:

Off we go!

After months (and months and months) of dormancy on our part, we are off to see the Jonai today! WOOOT!  It has been too long (last October! I saw Nick in January).

I can’t wait!

We’ve got a full day planned with the Road Dogs game followed by the show tonight in Camden (and maybe some shopping in Philly in between). We will be hanging out with Merry and E (who we’ve not seen for too long). It’s going to be perfect day for it! It is going to be AWESOME.

I will be making updates to the post throughout the e day – I am sure MM will keep the tweets flying as well.

The Game:

We had so much fun at the game with Merry and E! We got to sit together – eat awful food – and cheer the Road Dogs on to victory. It was the PERFECT day for a softball game!

ROAD DOGS WIN!

What a great game – 22-5. We had some grand slams, and homers, and a lots and lots of quality Road Dogs time on the field. PLUS Mitch “Wild Thing” Williams (He played for the Cubs and the Philadelphia Phillies) was a ringer on the opposing team. Joe caught one of his hits and got him out!

The Show:

The show was great and more enjoyable than expected. I loved every minute of both Demi’s and the JB’s sets. Highlights for me (other than those listed below) were a wonderful performance of “WYLMITE”, “Paranoid”, Joe and Demi playing with feather boas and competing to see who could hold the final note the longest (Joe won).

I think Camden is the most beautiful venue.

I enjoyed the Camp Rock 2 stuff more than I thought. The dancing was great! I really enjoyed “Fire” and “Can’t Back Down.”

Demi really rocked it tonight. She did an amazing job.

Nick finished “Introducing Me” with 1 second to spare.

The Guys replaced the usual Beatles cover with a medley which included “7:05″, TJTWWR, “Got Me Going Crazy”, “Can’t Have You”, “Poison Ivy”, “Fireflies”, “Need Somebody”, and some Keith Urban. This lead into “Please Be Mine” which was really a dream come true for me. I sang so loud during “7:05″ I no longer have a voice (good thing I’m a blogger).

Lovebug was just lovely!

That JONAS LA title may rank low for me on the new series soundtrack, but it is a good description of our approach to bloggin’ the show so far.  We’re watching it, enjoying it very much, but much of our recapping and chatter happens on Twitter these days.

Grant us pardon and use this new post for discussion of the soundtrack album release on Tuesday, July 20 (LBF’s 7th birthday!), or in the meantime if you’re a preorderer or future purchaser who is sampling the wares in advance.

So here’s your new post: our very own Jonas Anonymous…choose your own grouphugging, get-it-out and let-it-go adventure. Vent and fear no reprisals, as this is a safe, welcoming & supportive environment for critical discussion, yes? We hope so.

Feel free to repost any longwinded stuff from Twitter you’ve been feeling like sharing in a more static environment.

Commenters’ “Keep it clean” Fine Print Reminder: Let’s all bear in mind that we are all entitled to opinions…unless there are provable facts at hand, opinions/feelings/intuition can’t be wrong.  No personal attacks on commenters – but non-hurtful critical opinions about Jonas-related people & stuff is…well…is the point! (You know when you’re out of line; giving an emotional posting a quick re-read will help cut down on offense.) And if you take issue with someone’s line of thought, please remember the best medicine is to promote your own point rather than complaining about the points of others.  That said, pushing known “buttons” is bad form.

Not a good day for the JB superfandom, as the (erstwhile “Camp Rock”) Jonas Brothers World Tour 2010 appears to have undergone some hasty restructuring, even as tourmates rehearsed away and Kevin & Danielle were prepping their packing plans.

The Sibling Revelry community appears to be particularly impacted by the reshuffling.  We may not be the ones panting that a tweet from one of the Bros will make our lives, or sneaking into meet & greets, or other demanding, frenzied activities of the fickle tween demo that is the commonly imagined JB fan -  but we ARE the superfans with itchy trigger fingers at the first second of the earliest presales – we travel, buy tickets for multiple shows – and a number of us live outside of the favored Northeastern and West Coast markets.

Clearly a day of huge disappointment for many, and I know our hearts go out to each other.  There’s always been much talk of the powers-that-be of JB management (“the PTB”, thanks for that one, Shelley!) and we can add this to the list of days when we wonder if the PTB have a clue (or care) about WDT (“we discerning types”, thanks for that one, SR charter readership! ).

To be fair…I’ve been reading a lot of Bob Lefsetz since Garbo & Papa J let that cat out of the bag and if I’ve learned anything from it – if the reason behind all this is indeed weak sales – the JBs are in no way alone in the struggle to repeat their previous bang-up summer sales (though the Camp Rock angle surely did NOT help).  They have some pretty healthy company in price drops and show cancellations.  We understand their struggle to run a viable tour and business, but it seems like there has to be a better way to deal with whatever is going on than cutting off your very biggest, heartland fans at the knees. So as some of us suspect, is there more at play than the bottom line?  Is there really a good reason for a revised schedule that leaves so many fans in the lurch?

Jonas Brothers Update Tour Schedule With New Latin American and European Dates

TOUR EXTENDED THROUGH WINTER 2010 NOW INCLUDES SECOND SHOWS IN MAJOR MARKETS INCLUDING NEW YORK, BOSTON AND TORONTO

LOS ANGELES, July 2 /PRNewswire/ — Jonas Brothers announced today an all-new world tour schedule that now includes additional shows in both Latin America and Europe as well as second shows in major U.S. markets.  The tour, spanning three continents, will feature special guest and Hollywood Records label mate, Demi Lovato, and will combine spectacular production with unrivaled performances of both artists’ biggest hits.  The tour will also feature music from the Disney Channel Original Movie, “Camp Rock,” and its highly anticipated sequel as well as the Disney Channel series, JONAS L.A. Produced by Live Nation and sponsored by OfficeMax, the Jonas Brothers Live In Concert tour will now launch in Chicago, IL on August 7 at First Midwest Amphitheatre.

Recent changes in the Jonas Brothers schedule and the addition of several international tour markets have shifted the previously announced routing for 2010.  The Live In Concert tour will now kick off two weeks later in August and includes second shows in several North American cities including Holmdel, NJ, Jones Beach, NY, Boston, MA and Toronto, ON.  Some previously announced North American Live In Concert tour shows are no longer on the 2010 routing, however the Jonas Brothers will look to return to these markets as soon as possible.

On an international level, the tour also now includes several new Latin American dates including shows in Mexico, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.  The tour will also be extended through major markets in the UK and Europe with shows soon to be announced in France, Spain and Italy.  Additionally, the full Jonas Brothers tour production configuration and staging featuring 6 columns of moving video screens creating a massive 40′ x 24′ HD video wall, three catwalks up to 40′ feet long as well as other thrilling special effects will be taken to both Latin America and Europe, resulting in an even more exciting concert experience to Jonas Brothers fans around the world.

Also announced today are the “Camp Rock” film stars that will join the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato on the Live In Concert world tour including Alyson Stoner, Matthew “Mdot” Finley, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Roshon Fegan and Jordan Francis.

Joe has graced us with a beautiful letter giving us all the details of his trip to Africa! It’s powerful, sweet, funny, and makes this super-fan glow with admiration. Just when I thought I couldn’t be more proud, I am.

He writes about life, happiness, adventure, and love. He encourages us all to take a look at our privileged lives, and remember that there are those in the world who have nothing. He also asks us to consider that possessions do not make our lives better, but allow us easily take our lives for granted.

Hello Hello Everyone,

Sorry I have been out of touch for a while but here is what I have been up to over the last few weeks. I have missed you all so much. I would like to tell you a little bit about what I have been doing.

I have seen some amazing things, met some wonderful people, tried some tasty foods, and been inches from HUGE lions. I have also experienced new cultures like I have never seen before.

My journey began in Maun, Botswana, Africa. I brought some of my best friends with me to be a part of this incredible experience. We were all changed by what we saw.

I was able to spend time with many kids and teens that go to school there. Their schools do not have the room to take care of this many people. Some of the classes had hundreds of kids in rooms smaller than most living rooms in the US. We played sports. I tested out my football skills (soccer in the US). We also played songs without by brothers. Felt strange to sing without my brothers but many of the people knew the songs, which surprised me considering that many do not have TV or radio.

I also spent time with some of the babies that were born to mothers carrying the HIV AIDS virus. Out of the entire trip this was one of the most touching moments. I miss those children already. I was close to coming back home with many Joe Jr.s.

One of the most powerful things to see is the joy the people had with so little material things in their lives. They were happy. Some without homes or bathrooms were still happy and wonderful to be with. It makes you think about your own life and the things you have. These people might not have a bed to sleep on but are still happy with their lives.

We went to a couple villages where there were 7 kids with one mother in a home made out of clay and soda bottles. We were able to bring them blankets to stay warm because the nights were so cold.

We all stayed in big tents while we were there with hot water bottles for our feet because it was so cold. Outside we could hear the sounds of monkeys climbing on the tent and Hippos close by every night.

We also went on a couple safaris – a walking safari, horseback safari, and a land rover off-road safari where you are inches from deadly animals.

Occasionally we made our safari guide mad by asking where Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King lived.

I was asked while I was there if I would be a part of an event where kids were taught to respect themselves, others, and your environment. Prince William was the main guest and we spent a lot of time together. It was an honor to get to know him and I look forward to getting to see him again soon.

For the future, I plan on going back to Africa, as well as other nations, to help out in any way I can. I feel like hands-on work is where I feel most satisfied. I look forward to going to different places – not only Africa where I have new friends – but all around the world. It is my goal to spend 50% of my time and life doing what I can to help others.
