Well, tonight’s episode of JONAS met with mixed reviews at our house. Sugar and Spice were somewhat disappointed in The Tale of the Haunted Firehouse. I fear it was too subtle for them. They subscribe to the Scooby Doo method of ghost hunting, with lots of chases and action. I, however, LOVED this homage/spoof of The Blair Witch Project. It was all there: ghost hunting with a video camera, grainy tight close-ups of terrified faces. What a hoot!

It had some goofy moments, and some great ones. I must say, though, LBF really seemed to love it. It is about her speed in terms of “scary” content. She was honestly spooked – but we laughed at the gags at the same time.
We loved the Halloween/Xfilesy transitions, but every time they came on, LBF would say, “Ooh, a new song!”, but it wasn’t to be…darn.
We really enjoyed this one together.

Also…the interstitials were to DIE FOR. We all know why. (how does Nick DO that)

There were so many funny lines in this episode. And it reminded me of Ghost Hunters (besides the Blair Witch Project).

Loved the whole “Not it” game/conversation and the “Muhaha/scary laugh” competition at the end between Kevin and Joe.

Joe to Nick: “I can see your underwear.”
Nick: “Those aren’t X-ray goggles.”
Joe: No, but your pants are riding a little low, my brother.”
Loved the ghost sticker and receipt conversation/comments.
Stella (paraphrase): We’ll, I’m not staying in here because Joe’s deoderant is wearing off.

Joe: it was designed to keep me as clean as a tropical breeze while being chased by girls, not while being chased by monsters.
(or was that “smelling like a tropical breeze”? I’ll have to go back and rewatch it.

Kevin was an absolute riot, had us cracking up continuously! Can’t wait to rewatch!
My favorites are the same as those mentioned above by Barbara and Cpaig – the ghost stickers/receipts and the ghost baby. LOL!
Oh, and Joe grabbing the mic so they could be heard screaming.
The bloopers were fab. I heart bloopers!
DD and I loved this episode. We cheated and watched it early on Disney on Demand and have watched it an embarrassing number of times since, including last night when it aired. She keeps popping up with: “Why are you looking at me? The scary stuff is over there!” She absolutely adored Kevin as the Cryptkeeper. I think the bloopers may have been my favorite part. Or maybe the transitions. I have some serious love for Kevin in a trenchcoat being all mysterious.
There were so many good lines! The writers are to be applauded. Of course, so are the boys and Chelsea for taking the script and bringing it to life.

I thought this episode was absolute hilarious! I need to watch it again, I watched it a week ago and can’t remember much… But I do remember that it was absolutely hilarious.
My favorite part was Joe and Nick’s underwear convo (which Barbara already mentioned)! I couldn’t stop laughing…
And I loved the bloopers in the end – I thought it was funny how Kevin and Joe were laughing and Nick had this serious “Can we please just get this done?” look on his face. Ha!!

I loved this episode, Kevin was pure genius and made the episode for me.
Loved the receipt part, made me laugh so much so did when Joe started ’shaving’ with the electromagnetic field reader. Oh and the ‘not it’ game and Kevin’s face when he kept loosing.
Like sharpld said all of the episodes have so many good lines in, it’s so hard to single out a favourite one!

FIrst of all the fact that you said they subscribed to the Scooby Doo method of detecting made my day… you know I am a scooby kid. I can still be a kid at 29 right?! Any who. this episode was so much fun! and watching the bloopers at the end and hearing Kevin laugh his real laugh.. I did not realize how much I have missed hearing the beautiful sound. I loved **I can see your underwear. Those aren’t x-ray vision. No, you pants are ridin’ low my brother.** I just giggled myself silly. Of course I loved **not it** and Nick just being nick.. just makes me smile!

Loved the “skeletons in the closet” bit. And the underwear exchange -loved it! And the bloopers! They should do those every episode.

Oh man alive I loved this episode. I’ve been MIA for almost a week now. It’s been insanely eventful. I sort of feel like I’ve been having an out of body experience for the last week, KWIM? My sister got married this past weekend so I’ve been busy with all of that since last thursday. Zane and I went and picked up our puppy yesterday so we were up all night with him. I feel SO out of the loop.
1. Thank you so much everyone for your recaps of the shows this weekend, and merry for your recap of the games. How incredibly awesome! And also, your post about wanting us to watch Kevin’s speech was SO sweet. Naturally, I watched and teared up here at work.

I wish the JB did White Christmas! Gosh I could have a long list of songs I would love to hear them do. Anything beautiful, serious and religious, but also “Winter Wonderland” – that’s my favorite nonreligious Christmas song.
We ran right out and bought the CD. I’m also a sucker for Christmas music, so I had to have it.
We both think the Summertime Anthem is adorable. I get what you mean about 2007, LOL. HS’s version of White Christmas is great. But after hearing it, I couldn’t help but wish that JB did a ‘traditional’ song as well. Heck, I want them to do an entire Christmas album. That is my dream!

Getting back to JONAS….I just watched the episode again. No one mentioned Joe hiding behind Stella in the scene where the chairs are doing strange things! Brave, brave Joe.
