Boys, boys, boys…what were you thinking? Forgetting Stella’s birthday? Whoever keeps your calendar should have their paycheck docked.
Find out what happens when you make your stylist mad, after the jump!
Poor Stella. She works her fingers to the bone for these JONAS lads and how do they repay her? By forgetting her birthday. Ingrates! So what if an important music critic who bears a striking resemblance to Kenneth Branagh on a really bad day is interviewing them? This is no excuse.
I found this episode to be very sweet, because I think it touches on something that is near and dear to the Jonas Brothers’ hearts—keeping the important people in their lives important, despite how insanely busy their lives get.
In addition, we get the added bonus of the boys poking fun at the hype machine, which is so intrinsic to their world. I loved how each one of them couldn’t resist showing their individual awards off to the interviewer.
Add to this a song that we haven’t heard before, and you’ve got a win. Unless of course you’re Stella, in which case you can always get your revenge by shortening the brother’s inseams…
But what about you Revelers? What moments of tonight’s show will you never forget?

I loved this episode (most of it). Loved the song…
Found the “let’s try to do both things at once” thing a little “Peter Brady has two dates” but there is nothing wrong with that!
Thanks for the post Coolmom… I have finally emerged from my vortex!
LOL at Peter Brady has two dates! I knew I’d seen it all somewhere before…
Hannah Montana did this and that was what I thought of. It was ridic! She was on stage as Hannah AND on a date to SEE Hannah as Miley! LOL
Loved it, as always.
So much goodness.
Kevin’s comment: “I’m a boxer brief man” was surely a nod to whoever asked them that question in an interview in the last few years.
And yes, the things about “keeping it real” and putting friends and family first – a true thing for the real JB – and certainly something that they have to deal with on a regular basis.
Will post more thoughts tomorrow – tired!
whoa….boxer brief man? I missed that. I only watched once, with this kids.
cute pic! even though Nick is in his “serious business” stance. Like on “Friends for Change.” We’ve become a band! LOL!!!!!!!!!
I loved Kevin’s “I’m turning into my father”
Once again, total win! So darn funny!
Boxer briefs! Oh Kevin, thanks for the visual, LOL!
Kevin’s shampoo/soap scene. OMG. I had tears I was laughing so hard. That was a classic!
Peter Brady! Yep, remember that one alright. We’re definitely letting our age show tonight.
I thought it was great!
Stronger in the 1st half than the second but there was ample adorable.
The line about “Where does your success come from…?” (or whatever he said) followed by “My pants!” …hahahaha. Occasionally they do throw a little (immature as it might be) more adult humor our way…
Poor Joe, reduced to just his Hottie Award.
LOL! But it was worth it for getting to watch Nick delicately smooch that massive trophy among his boatload of trophies.
And “Word to your mother, who also happens to be my mother”…total Kevinly gold.
I did notice they seemed to put less makeup on Stella for this episode, which is a good thing, IMO. I also like how they’re including Macy more, she is so cute!
Nick does sad so well toward the end when he says “we are the worst best friends ever” – I almost could see the tears in his eyes!
Yes, he looked so sad it made me sad!
Loved this episode — and love the new song. I didn’t see the song mentioned in any of the previews, so I was pleasantly surprised. I do love being surprised, but I need the soundtrack…now….
There were some fun moments — loved how Kevin took the role of the “loose cannon” in interviews (instead of Joe). Just a fun little role reversal from how interviews typically go…
Enjoyed seeing the depth of the relationship with the boys and Stella. I think it does reflect how loyal they are to those closest to them.
I sure enjoy watching this show.
YES. I also need the JONAS soundtrack, badly.
can I tell you I’m such a mom/fan? I felt SO bad when they got the hot tea spilled on them!
I liked Big Rob (Big Man?) coming down the hall and Kevin and Joe pop out the side of him and then Nick comes out hanging around his neck. I wonder if Nick was standing on something or if he was really hanging off Big Rob?
Also, the guy who played the music critic has a regular spot on dLife talking about things diabetics deal with. He’s
Type 1 like Nick. They probably had a conversation on the set.
P.S. Happy Birthday, Frankie!!
My daughter thought it was great that all three brothers could be so conveniently hidden behind Big Rob. When he said “You’re on your own” and walked away, leaving the brothers flailing in his wake, we both laughed.
I love it when Big Rob is on the show.
Nick climbing on Rob’s back is one of the funniest things I have seen.
This wasn’t my favourite episode, but very cute and funny nonetheless! Here are my favourite parts (trying to make up for not recapping last week’s episode… LOL!
)
- “Dad! We’ve got school – how many more letters are there going to be?”

)
- “Looks like someone’s been reading their word a day- calendar…” (And the look on Joe’s face after that!)
- “He’s so cool! Some would say sagacious…” “Watch your mouth!” “It means shrewd! May 23rd.”
- “Mom, dad’s dancing again!”
- “Macy, is this… Is this you?”
- “Kevin thinks we should wear leather vests.” “That could work.” “With no shirts?” “I’m gonna get there early.”
- The Hottie of the year award and Nick’s trophies… “What are these?” “Oh, these old things? They’re just a couple of my songwriting awards, no biggie… Well, this one’s a biggie.” And when he kissed the trophy… LOL!
- “Nick, I cannot believe how self-centered you guys are being! How about we show a little modesty?” Aaaaand BLING.
- Loved Stella’s yellow dress!
- Nick dusting his trophies… “… which means we need to keep it real- oh!” (When he noticed something on the trophy… priceless)
- Kevin walking by in a leather vest… with no shirt
- “Dad of Jonas, are you okay?”
- “Where does all of your success come from?” “My pants!” “Don’t you think you’re being a little full of yourself?” And Nick’s explanation was hilarious.
- Joe and Nick trying to show off their awards
- Kevin’s shampoo scene… Lol!
- “Yeah, after three hours even I’m tired of talking about myself.”
- “No, I don’t want you to yell at them.” “Good, cause I could never yell at them!” (I LOVE Macy!)
- The scene with Big Rob (eh, I mean Big Man) was hilarious! All three of them hiding behind him
- “How about we throw you a surprise party at the zoo! Oops. Uh… You know, we’re gonna do that next year! I’m gonna… stop talking now.” Kevin is so hilarious in this show! I know I say that all the time but he’s just SO funny.
- “Gimme a C!” “Coler.(?)” “What? Oh… yeah.”
- “So… nothing about the hottie award?”
- “Keep talking…” “No, I’m done!” “Then stop talking.”
- (Didn’t Nick wear that shirt at the Kids’ Inaugural? http://photos.nickjonline.com/displayimage.php?album=1313&pos=4 Or is it just similar? I love it.)
- “Your pajamas?” “Um… Was the song… that we wrote after ‘My Pants’. ‘Your Pajamas’…” “We like to write about what we know.” “And what we wear…” (I for one would love to hear the Boys sing a song called “My Pants”, lol! Maybe on their next album…
- “I feel fake-sick already.”
- “Tonight is all about Stella, and only Stella. A large order of Stella with Stella on the side!” “Nick!” “Gotta run.”
- “And ever since then I’ve been a boxer brief man… Hope that answered your question.” “Well, actually my question was about your favourite subject in school… And I was asking him.”
- “Where are Joe and Nick?” “Doing the interview. What interview? What am I talking about?!”
- Love the new song! I didn’t see it coming…(Man, Joe’s voice is hiiiiiiigh at the beginning of the chorus! Wow). I am so with you all – WHEN do we get the soundtrack??
- the green band-aid on Kevin’s nose
- “Unless you wanna make yourself some really fantastic blindfolds.”
- the group hug!
- “I’m turning into my father.” (Oh my gosh, that was HILARIOUS. Go Kevin!!)
I think Joe was awesome in this episode… His facial expressions were priceless!
P.S. I just have to tell you that recapping these episodes, JB live chats etc. has really helped me at school! The language in most of my classes is English and I have to take notes while the teacher is talking – not a problem after all the practice I’ve had! All thanks to JB.
Love your recap! I think you hit on everything!
OK, one more thing: when Kevin was talking about the hotel shampoo bottles, and at the end the dad says, “What happened? I blacked out there a second.” Hilarious. That whole scene was hilarious.
And Nick’s award – got in first grade for best melody in original alphabet song.
Love these guys!
Oooh yes I loved those too!!
The dad is so awesome… I don’t care if he looks nothing like the boys, he’s perfect for the role!
I agree. The dad is SO funny and ridiculous and not at all realistic. I love him.
Awesome recap Elisa!
It’s so cool that something you love as much as JB is helping you in school too. That’s a win for sure!
And it won’t be much longer until you see JB LIVE!!! How excited are you? I can’t wait to hear the European Concert recaps from our International Revelers!
I know, I’m so excited!! I can’t believe my first concert is less than two months away… I’m starting to freak out. And I think I need to figure out a way to use Twitter while I’m there… I’ll die if I have to wait three or four days before I get to talk to you all!
oh I hope you can Twitter us a little! that would be SO fun!
I like the “we sing about what we know” also.
And yes, that was the Inauguaration performance shirt. as well as Kevin wearing his 3D movie floral shirt. Joe wore that red shirt another time – I pointed it out, and now I don’t remember when, sorry.
Joe: We’re really, really, really sorry!
Stella: How sorry are you?
Macy: Really,really, really sorry!
anyone else get the DVD this weekend?
I’m getting it tomorrow! Can’t wait!
Loved this one!! The Peter Brady/two dates episode was JUST on Saturday afternoon and I sat there and watched it. Then Jonas comes on with the same premise and I just LOL’d. The “where does your success come from/my pants” line was hilarious. My girls and I looked at each other with wide eyes and just started cracking up. While I don’t think it was meant to be risque, I’m sure all the hormonal fan girls out there were loving it!
Re: the DVD – I loved the prank pulled on Stella. Especially when he makes her sing. I really, really like Chelsea Staub.
Happy day-late Birthday to Frankie!! He’ll be in double digits next year!
