Karaoke Surprise [TeeVee]

September 6, 2009 by coolmom823

karaokepost1

Hey, hey, hey JONAS Fans!  Tonight brought us the first new episode in two weeks, and it begged the question:  just how many episodes can the writers of JONAS build around Joe and Stella, almost but not quite, admitting their feelings for each other?

At least one more, as we’ll see after the jump!

Well this episode was hilarious, in my opinion.  I LOVED Kevin and Nick’s Kung Fu-tinged competition complete with the poorly dubbed voice over for Kevin—brilliant!  I’ve got to say as an unapologetic Kevin Fan, he ROCKED this episode.  I was on the floor during the final showdown at the end when he was psyching Nick out.

karokepost4

So this week, Macy was the plot device to keep Joe and Stella apart.

karaokepost2

She helps Joe plan a karaoke surprise (hmmm, where have I heard that before?) party for Stella and Stella thinks she and Joe are having a “thing,” or a “not thing” if you prefer, in the same way that Stella and Joe are, or aren’t.  My head… it swims.

I’m thoroughly confused at this point.  Does Stella want Joe?  Or not.  It seemed like she was sort of freaking out, while he was singing.  But hey, Stell, if you don’t want him, I’m sure there are plenty of gals who’d love to take your place in the passenger seat of that convertible, snowstorm be damned…just sayin’.

But all ends well, the karaoke is a huge hit, and Stella gets her Friend-a-Versary party, and she and Joe are still as vaguely “whatever-they-are” as they were.  Maybe.

KaraokePost3

But what about you Revelers?  What moments will you repeat over and over, karaoke style?

I loved this episode SO MUCH! Even if it wasn’t Kevin-centric, Kevin stole the show. The Kung Fu bits were perfect. Kevin’s timing and mobile face took a funny piece of writing and made it special. When the Dad explained that it was his fault for the Kung Fu movies during the chicken pox, saying “I think it altered him,” I rolled on the floor.

I am over the Joe and Stella thing, but I could handle it because the side-story between Nick and Kevin was just perfect.

Oh, I almost forgot their outfits in the no-Stella universe. I howled. They worked those insane combinations just like runway models.

Kudos, boys and writers! I will be watching this one again and again.

Yes, it was good. VERY good. Joe is hilarious. Nick was SO over-the-top intolerant – it’s a good thing I like him so much, you know? Kevin was amazing, really amazing.

The mismatched outfits were frickin’ unbelievable. And Joe has worn that polo in photo shoots and that made it even funnier. Although Nick still managed to look pretty good in his silly outfit. Just sayin’.

My DH thought Kevin’s unshavenness was hilarious. Hackysack? That is sooooooooo throw-back; I love it! And I know they really play hackysack, which I love!

I love Macy. I’m tired of Stella, really tired. I just want her to go be with Joe already, come on.

Joe singing Give Love a Try was earth stopping. LOL. But seriously. he sounded incredible. And Kevin crunking or krunking or whatever that dancing is was great.

16 more days til we can buy JONAS Part 1 on DVD. And I need the soundtrack…

I have only watched it once so I need to go check it out some more.

I also LOVED the KIR video. Love the early 2008 footage so much!

    • on September 6, 2009 at 10:54 pm sharpld

How could I forget Joe singing “Give Love a Try?!?” His voice is so, dare I say, mellifluous? The song has a different feeling from when Nick sings it and I love it both ways. It makes me wonder what some of their other songs would sound like if Nick and Joe swapped vocals.

      • on September 7, 2009 at 1:48 am Trish

Oh yes! I forgot to mention that too. Interesting…wonder which version we’ll get on the soundtrack. Dare we hope for both?!

        • on September 9, 2009 at 3:13 pm Sonnnn

          I want both!

  3. on September 6, 2009 at 10:47 pm Sonnnn

Oh yes Lisa the Kung Fu! that was wonderful.

Can anyone tell me what Kevin and Nick were referring to in their little scene with Stella – it seemed they were imitating something but I’m too ignorant to know what?

    Thanks!

    • on September 6, 2009 at 10:57 pm sharpld

It kind of felt like a lot of old movies, but not anything I recognized.

  4. on September 6, 2009 at 11:16 pm Netter

I thought this episode was fantastic — perhaps a new favorite. From the hilarious outfits to Joe singing Give Love A Try, this episode was an epic win. But, I agree that Kevin totally stole the show — from the Kung Fu scenes to sprawling out on the chairs at the lunch table to save spots for the crew — he has amazing comic timing.

I’m so curious to find out where this would have fit in with the other episodes if they were aired in order.

    • on September 6, 2009 at 11:26 pm gityofunon

Oops, I didn’t see your comment about the episode order. But it’s weird, huh? I’m thinking maybe this came become Love Sick and Frantic Romantic but after Wrong Song?

      • on September 6, 2009 at 11:30 pm Sonnnn

I agree after Wrong Song, and before Frantic Romantic or Three Musketeers. Love SIck – I’m not sure.

But I hope we’ve exhausted the whole Joe/Stella friends/more than friends storyline now. 8 more episodes and I need some Kevin/Macy or Nick/anyone storylines.

    • on September 6, 2009 at 11:29 pm coolmom823

That’s the question I always ask, Netter, “Where would this have been in the lineup as it was originally intended?” And alas, we don’t know… :(

It’s a source of great frustration to me.

      • on September 6, 2009 at 11:38 pm Netter

I know – so frustrating. The most recent live chat was interesting because they said that the Keep It Real episode was taped first and then mentioned this episode (because of the binder injury) and said it was in week 4 or so of filming. But still…how does it all fit together?

        • on September 6, 2009 at 11:46 pm coolmom823

I wish I knew. It bugs me every episode I watch, especially because I had wanted to try to follow/blog about each brother’s character development and acting growth throughout the episodes. But I’ve been foiled dang it! :?

          • on September 7, 2009 at 7:55 am LazAngel11

The episodes are just about to start airing in the UK and from what I’ve seen we’re getting them in a different order to the USA.

I still don’t think it’s right though, because we’ve already had Wrong Song in a ‘preview’ type thing. But then the series starts on friday with Slice of Life.

It’ll be definately interesting to see which order we get them in though.

  5. on September 6, 2009 at 11:21 pm Laura (VA,USA)

I agree about Macy, I love her character and I’m glad to see they are giving her a chance to flesh it out a little. And, IMO, she is cuter than Stella anyway :)

LOL at Kevin’s Japanese movie overdubs, and love Dad’s chicken pox theory – “…that or the high fever…”

    • on September 6, 2009 at 11:29 pm Sonnnn

she is ! Macy’s gorgeous. Love her hair and all the styles! I liked it a lot in this episode, the “ponytails” up on her head.

Stella’s makeup esp. her eyes and lips are quite a bit to take in.

  6. on September 6, 2009 at 11:22 pm gityofunon

I brayed like a donkey watching this episode. The whole hackysack nonsense with Kevin and Nick was great. While I agree with the sentiment that Kevin stole this show, Nick had some amazing moments too. (“Wow, you need a lot of things to be a pirate,” “Never claimed to,” and “Lucky guess.”)

I thought the video for “Give Love a Try” was adorable, but I’m curious if anyone knows exactly where this episode was supposed to fall in the original episode lineup?

    • on September 6, 2009 at 11:33 pm Netter

Yes, Nick had some great lines too. Across all episodes, he and Kevin have some really great “throw away” lines that tend to slip through the cracks but are just well written and delivered perfectly.

“Any one want to see a play?” Still cracks me up just thinking about it.

      • on September 6, 2009 at 11:35 pm gityofunon

Oooh, yes!! And I think I had seen that episode three or four times before I got that joke. Priceless.

    • on September 6, 2009 at 11:52 pm tlatzotzontli

I liked Nick’s pirate and “Lucky guess” in response to his birthday, too! I also thought the Kevin, Nick, Stella scene was quite entertaining. “And by Joe you mean?” “And by weird you mean?”

      • on September 7, 2009 at 10:03 am Sonnnn

were they playing off something there? it just seemed like Twilight Zone or something to me – what was it?

  7. on September 6, 2009 at 11:31 pm Sonnnn

wasn’t the video great? I wasn’t expecting much at all and am so pleasantly surprised with it!

  8. on September 6, 2009 at 11:37 pm gityofunon

Does anyone know or have any guesses as to which five episodes will be on the DVD? (I hate to be ungrateful, but five episodes seems a bit stingy.)

    • on September 6, 2009 at 11:45 pm Netter

According to our friends Barnes and Noble, there are two episodes that we haven’t seen yet: “Cold Shoulder” and “Beauty and the Beast”. The rest are anybody’s guess.

      • on September 6, 2009 at 11:57 pm gityofunon

Ah. Well, now, tv.com has informed me that “Cold Shoulder” is Kevin-centric…

  9. on September 6, 2009 at 11:44 pm cpaig

    I agree!

    Loved the episode!

    I also liked the video.

At first I thought “this is just as I expected”… but I really liked it more the second time I watched it… and it was such fun to see that old footage from the LMITE tour and some scenes we have not seen yet from JONAS.

    • on September 6, 2009 at 11:51 pm Netter

Right — like the scenes of Kevin dancing?

      • on September 7, 2009 at 9:21 am mememoi

Oh my goodness yes….I can’t wait for THAT episode!

  10. on September 7, 2009 at 12:08 am tlatzotzontli

I really liked this episode, probably one of my top faves. There were a lot of great scenes, but one that stands out is the scene where Stella finds Joe and Macy on the floor. It’s funny because it’s such an awkward thing for Stella to see. And the “She’s very mathematical. That’s why they call her Mathy Macy” and “Don’t want to keep you two from adding your figures together” were funny.

The “bad fashion” scenes were toooo much. They were hilarious to the point that they were adorable. haha. For some reason it reminded me of this Mates of State music video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYfybYDm3-A I know that it is very different, but I guess the funny/awkward/model movements reminded me of that.

  11. on September 7, 2009 at 1:45 am Trish

Loved this! We were rolling, as usual like with every JONAS episode.

    The Kung Fu voice over…LOL!

Kevin’s “exhausted” after 3 kicks and his whole “….or is he?” at the end.

Nick’s “…you need a lot to be a pirate.” We cracked up at that!

Joe/Stella. AWW. They are so darn cute I just wanna push them together and say “Kiss, damnit!” :) But yeah, they’re beating us in the head with it, huh?

As always, they were all great but Kevin owned it. He just pulls off his lines SO WELL.

Oh! The bad fashion! Yeah, we totally recognized that shirt of Joe’s!!! That made it even funnier. But Kevin was rockin’ the black socks with shorts! ;)

The video was great! Loved seeing the older footage used.

So did anybody else try in vain to call the SayNow #? My daughter and I both tried on 2 seperate lines.

    • on September 7, 2009 at 10:04 am Sonnnn

I tried a few times, but I don’t know why! What would I say. LOL

  12. on September 7, 2009 at 2:17 am Anna

I loved this eppie, but I do tire of the “attempt” at a Joe/Stella romance. Kevin was so everything. I know its Joe that wants to be the actor, but IMO he really hasn’t been able to hold a candle to Kevin, and even Nick, in some ways. The whole hacky sac and kung fu bits were funny as all get out. I want Kevin and Macy to happen so bad ;)

Just a side note about todays SayNow’s. Some of you may have already guessed, but Kevin did NOT participate at all. He is still with Danielle in NJ since the day they all had doctor appts for CR2. God only knows when he will get to Toronto to film his parts, but he was seen bowing with her tonight and took in a show of Avenue Q a couple of days ago. A Team jonas member also had a cousin that took a picture of Kevin and Danielle at a TGI Fridays this weekend. They really are spending a lot of time together now

    • on September 7, 2009 at 10:05 am Sonnnn

He probably does not have a lot of work to do on CR2 so he’s using the time “off” more wisely.

    • on September 7, 2009 at 2:09 pm Jan

I don’t think that Kevin and Danielle saw “Avenue Q” just a few days ago. That happened during the break they took in the spring when Joe went to Australia and Nick was in Nashville.

      • on September 7, 2009 at 2:50 pm Anna

Danielle is sporting that big rock on her finger, so it is recent

        • on September 7, 2009 at 3:31 pm Jan

Maybe Joe and Camilla saw “Avenue Q” last winter. I know that I’ve seen some photo of a Jonas brother backstage awhile ago!

          • on September 7, 2009 at 3:55 pm Trish

Yeah, it was Joe & Camilla. I also recalled Kevin & Danielle seeing The Little Mermaid in the spring.

          • on September 7, 2009 at 5:15 pm Sonnnn

I remember Joe and Camilla seeing it now that you bring it up. Personally i don’t know what Avenue Q is!

            • on September 7, 2009 at 7:11 pm Trish

You probably don’t wanna know. It’s full of rude/crude humor. One of the songs is entitled “The Internet is For Porn”.

              • on September 8, 2009 at 12:16 am Sonnnn

so why is it a big draw, esp for Jonases, do you think?

              • on September 8, 2009 at 12:16 am Sonnnn

LOL at the Internet is for Porn though!

                • on September 8, 2009 at 9:36 am mememoi

I haven’t seen it but I have heard it is very very funny and sharp!! The creator of it, John Tartaglia, had a puppet-type show on Playhouse Disney called “Johnny & the Sprites” (a show which my friend Daryl co-created! :D ) …so maybe the Jonases met John in Disney circles?

Also, I think when you are a Broadway person (like the Jonases are) they probably can appreciate/tolerate all manner of humor/POVs…Broadway isn’t the most chaste place. :)

                  • on September 9, 2009 at 9:19 am Sonnnn

my kids like Johnny & the Sprites.

        • on September 7, 2009 at 4:07 pm coolmom823

Here’s the picture of them backstage:

          http://www.broadwayworld.com/article/Photo_Flash_Kevin_Jonas_Visits_AVENUE_Q_20000101

    • on September 7, 2009 at 3:14 pm mememoi

In Joe’s defense…he’s been given a lot of the lead/straight man (as it gets on JONAS, anyway) bits in all these Joepisodes…that can admittedly get boring..but Joe is a decent enough actor to pull off the less broad, more subtle acting required for the protagonist storyline kind of stuff. Nick & Kevin should be glad to get so much of the fun stuff. Kevin really shines at the comedic relief, and Nick rocks as the uberserious sideman. I like them all, and I think they’re all doing wonderfully!

And I loved this episode…the Joe/Stella stuff has definitely been too drawn out, and this episode was good enough to redeem the storyline at least a little.

  13. on September 7, 2009 at 7:52 am merry27

I thought it was funny..if weirdly out of sequence.
How cute would the scene of Joe wrapping the cord around himself have been if we didn’t see the other Joe/ Stella episodes? It was still cute..but just didn’t fit well.
You have all pointed out the funniest parts. When Kevin’s mouth moved and the words came out as if they were dubbed..that was my favorite.
I agree that Stella’s make up was almost clown like which is unfortunate because she’s so cute.

Also when Macy was diverting her by pointing out the teacher with the sweater with the cat on the front I thought we were going to actually see it..and of course that sweater has been used on Hannah Montanna several times. But thankfully they didn’t show it.

    • on September 7, 2009 at 10:06 am Sonnnn

Yeah, the makeup is caked on! so thick! and the hair is so Sharpay over the top.

I didn’t know they were making Joe Lucas out to be a klutz so even though the wire wrapping was adorable I didn’t think it fit that well.

      • on September 7, 2009 at 11:11 am merry27

my friend who was watching said, “Is that the girl from high school musical?”

She also wanted to know who “the cute one was” and when Nick came on she said, “Oh he’s the cute one!”

funny to watch with someone who knew nothing about them..

        • on September 7, 2009 at 5:16 pm Sonnnn

          Love that! :)

      • on September 7, 2009 at 2:46 pm mememoi

Actually I find his character is pretty hapless a lot…just kind of clueless on multiple levels.

It actually made me relate to Stella’s struggle a little…the whole…”Wow, he’s soooo adorable…but oh wow, he’s such a dork…but aw, so sweeeeeet” dichotomy that comes with the territory of admiring Joe. LOL.

        • on September 7, 2009 at 5:19 pm Sonnnn

in real life, Joe is not dopey at all IMO. I am positive he is very smart as well as being adorable and sensitive and sweet. It’s funnier I guess for the “regular people” who are not Jonas-crazy to think of him as shallow because he’s so physically beautiful but it’s not that funny to me.

          • on September 8, 2009 at 12:05 am mememoi

Oh of course I think he’s supersmart!!! But I also think he kinda does have a dopey streak…he used to play it up, himself. And it did used to really aggravate me that it was such an overemphasized part of his personality that so many fangirls acted like he was dumb/incompetent – which seems so untrue…his silly humor comes from a smart/quick place, IMO.

But I think there’s some basis in reality about the goofiness. I guess I don’t think of it as stemming from shallowness as much as from free-spiritedness and a sort of lack of vanity. I don’t think it’s bad…I guess it can go on overload for some people, but for the most part he always owns any bumbling tendencies in a very self-aware way, which I have always found very charmingly human about him.

            I don’t mean it badly at all…as I couldn’t fan-adore Joseph even a smidge more…physically/emotionally impossible!

It really only bugs me with the Joe Lucas character when it goes from the fun/well-meaning kind of thing to the more emotionally clueless/cowardly side of things. But I think maybe that’s partially been done because he’s supposed to be the more identifiable character for the kiddies in the audience. (I don’t think the writers have been entirely successful with some of these aims…maybe the switched order derailed that!)

            • on September 8, 2009 at 12:14 am Sonnnn

I completely agree with you. I wasn’t looking to say you didn’t think Joe is smart, as I know you think he is. :) I was more thinking about something my DH had said, something along the lines of “what if Joe really isn’t that deep of a person?” which made me kind of mad at him. :)

I think Joe is very deep, intelligent, thoughtful, as well as lovely to look at.

I agree that it’s lack of vanity and a sense of fun for Joe. :)

              • on September 8, 2009 at 9:42 am mememoi

Harumph @ your DH! ;) Could be…but, my impression is that he’s very deep for his age! Which, remembering being 16-20, surely comes with some healthy spots of shallowness. But he’s always struck me as the deepest of the boys because he seems the least absolute and occasionally even conflicted about various things…and I think that requires/causes a good amount of depth in a person.

                • on September 9, 2009 at 9:20 am Sonnnn

my DH is just jealous. :)

  14. on September 7, 2009 at 9:20 am mememoi

I still haven’t seen the first half of the new episode yet but I do know it’s one of the best since the earlier eps….just seemed obvious from the ending. I loved Joe’s rendition of “Give Love a Try”!!!!

  15. on September 7, 2009 at 10:06 am Sonnnn

It was great! I watched it again before I went to sleep.

  16. on September 7, 2009 at 12:23 pm Elisa

I loved this episode… I was giggling the whole time. I think Nick was really really great in this one!

    My favourite moments were…

    - “Guys, do you really think that’s a good idea? Think. Think hard.” (Perfect delivery from Nick!)
    - “Had an off kick, it happens to the best of us…” “And by best you mean worst?” etc. .. Both Nick and Kevin were awesome in this scene! I loved the way Nick said “Good luck with that…” He has that dry, sarcastic sense of humour in real life too and I love it. :)
    - The group hug! And “Never claimed to!”
    - Kevin talking like babies (and Miley). “Sowwy” LOL!
    - “Thug thug… thug thug…” (Kevin is the king of physical comedy…)
    - “When’s my birthday?” “Sometime this year?” “Lucky guess.” (Nick’s timing was perfect in this scene.)
    - The bad outfits! LOL
    - “Like a pirate needs a hook for a hand… and an eyepatch and a parrot. Wow, you need a lot of things to be a pirate!” (Can I just say that I can’t wait for CR2… Nick’s getting so good.)
    - “I wasn’t following you around trying to listen to your conversation if that’s what you’re suggesting!” (I love Macy!)
    - kevin “crunking” (???) (And Nick suggesting that he go do it somewhere else)
    - “Your skills are great.” And the whole kung fu-scene… Kevin’s awesome. And the dad’s super funny! (Mom’s been MIA for a long time…) (Also, every time I hear “kung fu” I think of “Kung Fu Grip”. Ha.)
    - Stella finding Joe & Macy on the floor…
    - “Where are all the books… calculators… the crying?”
    - “I better put up these flyers… Right after I make them.”
    - “So… Do you wanna maybe do some homework later?” “Later… I can’t. I’m gonna… be doing homework.”
    - “Macy!” “Stella!” “Wait, what are we talking about?”
    - The Lovesick ringtone (although it was funny because Macy’s phone was an ancient Nokia 3330 or something which definitily doesn’t play mp3 ringtones… And the screen’s b&w. Just saying…. :) But hey, at least they chose a Finnish brand… Lol. And they did end up breaking it so I guess that’s why they didn’t use a brand-new phone…)
    - “I think the battery just died.”
    - “And by Joe you mean…?”
    - Joe being all dreamy and making Stella forget she was mad at him (I bet he can do that in real life too…)
    - “I’ll be here 10 past Nick.” “Okay, but if you get here a quarter to Kevin, you’ve blown it.”
    - “I never eat ice cream. Unless a guy breaks up with me, which has never happened – so I stand by my first statement.”
    - “Brokenhearted or otherwise, everybody loves a good taco. Vámonos!”
    - “Let’s dance!”
    - “Macy! What are you doing in my house?”
    - “These arms are made for sewing!”
    - “Oh, you meant our Joe? Oh, okay…” And Nick’s face after that… Priceless.
    - Joe’s version of Give Love a Try! Beautiful. Love both versions of the song… So different.
    - Kevin and Nick showing up in the car…
    - “Do you need me to punch you more often, Joe?” “Maybe a little bit.” (Did this scene remind anyone else of the story Joe told on Conan? About the girl who wanted him to hit him…? :) )
    - “Don’t worry, if anything embarrassing happens… It will be going on the Internet!”
    - Kevin choosing his ball… I mean… hackysack? (I was just trying to remember what we call them here and I’m drawing a blank!)
    - “I’m exhausted! Oh, dad…” “Do you wanna lie down?”
    - Nick being competitive…
    - “Looks like little one learned his lesson! Or did he?” And then Nick going after Kevin. :)

  17. on September 7, 2009 at 2:13 pm Jan

It’s “Be Kind to Chipmunks Day”. “I have an extra acorn for everyone.” Kevin hands one to Nick and he glances at it and tosses it away.

I figured out from the stills that “Cold Shoulder” is Kevin-centric. Can we think that “Beauty and the Beast” will be Nick-centric since he was in “B and the B” on Broadway?

I have preordered the DVD but I’m still thinking that they will eventually show the unaired episodes on TV.

    • on September 7, 2009 at 5:22 pm Sonnnn

oh, Disney will definitely find a way to capitalize on the “unseen” episodes! They always do…

I also loved Nick tossing the acorn over his shoulder. And how he grabbed the chicken leg in the car. Funny. :)

Please, I do need another Nick-centric episode. How many times can I watch Complete Repeat and Wrong Song? LOL!

I see on some JONAS episode website that “Cold Shoulder” is listed as airing on 12/6/09. “Beauty and the Beast” isn’t listed yet.

OK, posting this here so I can come back and watch/swoon over it at my leisure. ;)

I was laughing at the karaoke video before they even turned into Joe & Stella. Karaoke videos always make me laugh!

  19. on September 7, 2009 at 3:58 pm Trish

Elisa, once again you rocked the recap! :) Totally forgot about Macy and the phone – that was hysterical!

    • on September 7, 2009 at 5:23 pm Sonnnn

Her smashing the phone to BITS was hilarious.

  20. on September 7, 2009 at 4:32 pm Barbara

    Back from a weekend away…
Loved the episode! Elisa did a great job of highlighting everything. So sweet and funny. One of my favorite parts is Nick running after Kevin at the very end when Nick has won but Kevin keeps saying, “Or did I?” (don’t have my notes here, so I don’t remember exactly). I can just imagine Nick or many other people being frustrated by a brother like Kevin refusing to acknowledge Nick’s win/Kevin’s loss. Cracked me up! :)
I loved the KIR video, too, but I see we have a thread for that, so I’ll check that out! :)

This was my favourite episode. All three of them were amazing each in their own way. As was Macy, she made me laugh so much!
Kevin – his Kung Fu bit actually made me laugh so much, classic. I love the way he does his comedy so funny. ‘Crunkinnn’ :-)
Joe – Well Joe was Joe. He was lovely and gave us some laughs. ‘Macy: We’re doing mental maths. Joe: Yeah it’s like jumping jacks for the brain’ laughed so hard! And when he sang give love a try I melted a little inside! :-)
Nick – he seems to be getting better and better. His sarcastic serious humor, he has it right down to a tee. When he chucked the acorn over his shoulder and the look on his face. And the pirate comment, ‘you need a lot of things to be a pirate’ :-)
Macy – best I’ve seen Macy, she made me laugh. A lot. ‘it’s not like I was following you.’ ‘looks like my battery died’ ‘but if you get here a quater to kevin you’ve blown it’

Definatley my favourite episode so far. Is it just me or was there a couple of innuendos in the episode?
And I wish they would sort out the whole Joe/Stella thing, will they won’t they. Make your mind up!

    :-)

I have to say how impressed I have been with the JONAS writers. I’ve watched a few episodes of Hannah Montana, Sonny with a Chance, and Suite Life on Deck, and all of those writers seem to have sunk to using fart jokes and bathroom humor. (Please….”Gassie the Farting Dog”?) I certainly hope that the JONAS writers maintain their high standards next year.

I missed this!!! I feel like such a bad fan :/ … oh well, I’ll watch it on YouTube if I have to! Its not OnDemand which irks me deeply.

  24. on September 7, 2009 at 10:41 pm Sonnnn

It’ll be on iTunes by Weds/Thurs. I don’t know why the epis take so long to post though.

I must be the only one here who loves the Joe/Stella drama. I love it. I love watching Joe act….he’s just so good. My daughter loves how irritated Nick gets and Kevin all the time. We watched Keeping It Real episode twice yesterday – I forgot how good that one was! Love the scene around the breakfast table where they are getting too big for their britches.

OT – when are they releasing a new song off of LVTT?? It’s been a while. WWIII, please!!!!

    • on September 8, 2009 at 9:31 am mememoi

Oh, I like the Joe/Stella drama…I think it could be done in a less monotonous way (or at least in proper order!)

I completely agree with you about Joe, of course. :) And I think Chelsea does an awesome job with Stella as well…totally relatable character, for me, anyway. :)

I think underneath my irritation with the storyline is fear of backlash because of how Joecentric it has felt…I know as fans we feel we should love all three brothers equally, but it rarely happens that way and there are allegiances and people get irked. LOL. And I am guilty of getting irked about other things, so I do totally understand. I suppose I shouldn’t let it ruin my Joefan fun, but sadly, I’m neurotic like that.

According to TiVo the order of episodes is as follows:

    Ep. 101 Fashion Victim
    Ep. 102 Groovy Movies
    Ep. 103 Keeping It Real
    Ep. 104 Chasing the Dream
    Ep. 105 Wrong Song
Ep. 106 That Ding You Do
Ep. 107 ? (not aired yet?)
    Ep. 108 Pizza Girl
    Ep. 109 Band’s Best Friend
    Ep. 110 Complete Repeat
    Ep. 111 ?
    Ep. 112 Detention
    Ep. 113 Love Sick
    Ep. 114 Three Musketeers
    Ep. 115 Karaoke Surprise
    Ep. 116 Frantic Romantic

    • on September 8, 2009 at 1:51 pm mollyanne

WOOT! You rock. This makes a bit more sense now. I still have NO idea why they would air them out of order. Tivo (and Amanda) to the rescue!!!

    • on September 8, 2009 at 7:27 pm Jan

I don’t think that Karaoke Surprise was filmed as late as it is listed. Joe and Nicole Anderson were talking about it being about the 4th week of filming when they went to grab the notebook off the floor and in one of the takes it came up and hit Nicole in the face.
Nick said that Wrong Song was about the 5th or 6th one filmed. They had to show that episode first because in Wrong Song Nick had written the song for the girl. It wouldn’t make sense to have Joe sing it first for Stella.

      • on September 9, 2009 at 9:24 am Sonnnn

Karaoke Surprise being after Three Musketeers doesn’t make sense. They kissed in Three Musketeers; that one should be close to the end.

I am under the impression there are 21 episodes total.

Oh well, I enjoy them however and whenever we get them. :)

Is it just me or is anyone else fascinated by their School uniform?
It wayyy better than what I had to wear! Haha.
Wish my uniform had been like that!

    • on September 9, 2009 at 9:22 am Sonnnn

I LOVE their uniforms. They are awesome in every way. I esp. love Joe in blazers.

  28. on September 9, 2009 at 9:26 am Sonnnn

check this out for the remaining episodes through Sept. Another Stella episode – I am beginning to be scared of Stella’s wrath now! LOL

    http://www.tv.com/jonas/show/74751/episode.html

  29. on September 9, 2009 at 9:28 am Sonnnn

oh god, that last one is in Dec. I think the show goes thru the end of December. But it looks like Oct and Nov will have no new episodes.

  30. on September 9, 2009 at 9:29 am Sonnnn

The plot for Home Alone – The guys are left home alone for the first time while their parents are out for vacation. But the guys have a problem because Frankie invited his whole school to their house for a party. Meanwhile, Macy asks Stella to come to the JONAS fan club meeting. Airs Sept 20.

  31. on September 9, 2009 at 9:32 am Sonnnn

There’s one called the Tale of the Haunted Firehouse. That sounds great!

  32. on September 12, 2009 at 1:18 am DaniLyn85

Finally watched this episode, almost a week later! This episode was hysterical, I loved everything Elisa pointed out. I think these guys are just getting better and better with every episode.

Nick and Kevin were amazing with their side plot. I love when Nick gets competitive.

I think Nicole Anderson is becoming one of my favorite people. She is so good on this show, I actually look forward to seeing Macy more than Stella.

I love Joe. I really really do. And I like Stella, but I think I’m just a little tired of her and Joe being pushed on us in every episode. I can’t wait for the Nick and Kevin-centric episodes to air!

  33. on September 13, 2009 at 12:37 pm Sonnnn

I definitely like Macy the most. She is very cute.

  34. on September 13, 2009 at 7:58 pm Laura

Well Jonas started airing in the UK on Friday, and I have to say watching the episodes again, I’ve picked up and recognised so much more things.
First off, Macy is brilliant from the first episode, I never really noticed her that much at first. But because I’ve seen her in later episodes she really does stand out. She plays her character so well! And I think, even though they shot the episodes in a different way to how they have been aired, you can see some development in their characters, from the first episode up to the last one that was aired in the US. Nick has gotten so much better, and has developed as an actor a lot. His sarcasm and they way he conducts himself, with the little funny parts, has gotten better as the season has gone on. And Joe? Well Joe’s just Joe :o )
I can’t wait to watch the season again and to see what I may have missed the first time!

  35. on September 14, 2009 at 7:17 am Sonnnn

I’m very excited for a new episode on Sunday in the US! and for the DVD to come out a week from tomorrow. Still not sure about the soundtrack. Is it coming out tomorrow or not? Strange.

Nick’s birthday – any cakes in the works?
