T-5 days = heavy promotion time!
First we were gifted with some awesome live song performances and LVATT previews courtesy of Walmart, and if you’re inclined to hear the songs before the album comes out, leaks have been making the rounds alongside the gossipmongering and such.
Don’t forget to do what you can to check out the album previews on Radio Disney or watch Letterman tonight, whatever is your bag!
As for us, we’re hopping a Manhattan-bound Chinatown bus in a couple of hours, and will be pulling into the City that never sleeps while the Boys & Co. jam at their FREE Irving Plaza show tonight…I am excited enough that we’ll be seeing the mini set tomorrow morning as part of the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series that I can put missing that show out of mind in favor of knowing how great the YouTubery of that show is going to be (or maybe MTV will capture the whole thing properly?! That would be GREAT.)

Well, Letterman was brief but well done.
I’m glad I stayed up, because of course, my VCR cut off the last half minute. Seems like I can never figure out how to set it so I get the time right.

When they first started singing, I thought, “I can barely hear Nick. Turn up his mike.” And I love the background cords, but they seemed louder than normal. And I could hear Kevin really well. I’m so use to the studio mixes, it’s different to hear them live.
Nick seemed kind of sedate when he was singing behind the mic. Anyone else think so? But I noticed he smiled when he sang, “That’s why my ex is still my ex.” (Maybe thinking, “that’s right; she’s still my ex.” or maybe just thinking about how people are talking about him and MC. Or maybe she’s not still his ex (perish the thought!) or maybe none of the above – LOL! Just thought it was fun to speculate.) Either way, I gotta say that it’s such a joy to see Nick J smiling!
I saw it as a near chuckle. I wasn’t sure what to make of it. And yes, perish the thought!

I saw a little girl at the beginning of Poisin Ivy who I thought looked like LBF! Could it have been her? If you follow the GMA link above and look at the Poisin Ivy vid you’ll see what I mean.
My Sugar was so excited that she had friends at the concert today, lol!
Nope,wasn’t us, we were on and off standing on the bleachers behind – but we did come up to the side of the crowd a bit; were still able to be 20-30 feet from the Boys (Nickside)…LBF was totes heart-shaped-pupil-ing despite fatigue and hunger!! “Poison Ivy” is her favorite new song. And she turned to me afterwards (copying some girls nearby) and said “I really, really want this album!”

“Poison Ivy” has really grown on me too! The lyrics are so clever and I love the guitar part at the end of “everbody hates that ….”
