OK… after reading Coolmom’s awesome post about the JONAS website (and checking it out) AND watching the “premise” and “sneak peak” videos released on FFE, I am officially STOKED for JONAS!
The videos were released on YouTube yesterday (trust me, I tried to snag them before that), so I am posting them here and we will take a good in-depth look.

We are given a solid two minutes of content here, a much better peek than the choppy 42 seconds we were given at the beginning of the year. In that glimpse I saw something familiar from the annals of hearthrob/music/sitcom television history. I am not sure I am still reminded of the Monkees as much in these clips (though we have yet to be given a look at how the music will be integrated in the show). What do I see? Potential awesomeness, definite wackiness, and lots and lots of cute.
I am really impressed, actually. Not to say that I didn’t already know that these Guys are wicked talented, but I was a little worried about the acting. I mean, I already know Kevin can sell me an E-Brain until the cows come home, but pull off a 25 minute show?
All indications are pointing to yes! (medium sigh of relief*)
I actually can’t take my eyes off of Kevin in both clips (and I don’t think it is just because I am such a Kevgirl). I am predicting that this show will cause a perception coup of sorts in regards to Kevin, especially for the fickle, casual, Jonas fans (around the ages of 9 to 13). I have no way of measuring this, but that is my prediction. In addition, just to get down to brass tacks for a moment, he also looks really really cute in the clips (it never hurts).
I was also impressed with Nick, and Joe. Mostly Joe.

Am I the only one who knows that I will be watching each episode of JONAS three times in a row because I have to concentrate on one bro at a time?! It is going to be amazingly hard to watch the show and catch all three brothers’ expressions and mannerisms at the same time.

absolutely. I had a really hard time at the 3D movie – I never could decide between Joe and Nick. I had the same trouble at Nashville! It was ROUGH!
I think they should “Kevin Cam”, “Joe Cam” and “Nick Cam” for each episode, just like at that online concert they did, remember?

I think I am going to frame the cover and the square block next to the cover (photo of them) – it’s kind of a panoramic view if that makes sense. Not framing the lyrics. Because then the autographs are at the bottom and I’m not sure if that is balanced? But maybe the way I thought of it makes the whole thing too small????

I like your idea of framing the cover and the picture of them together, kind of a panoramic. But where do you find a frame like that?
Hmmmm….I thought about getting a 5×7 frame and just centering the cover in there but I think I like your idea better.
I might get a frame that is large enough for it and just ask my DH to cut a mat to fit around it and fill the empty space. I’m too lazy to go to get it professionally framed – plus I don’t want the girl at Michael’s touching my signed cover LOL
What about a double-sided shadow box sort of affair? Say, mount the cover between 2 mats, each framing one side (one of the cover, one the lyrics), then putting that in a shadow box that has glass on both sides? You could attach a nice ribbon-sort of hanger from the top so you could turn it around to see the other side if you wanted to. It could look really cool like that.

It makes me sad to think of what became of the cd’s that came with these covers. They probably ended up in a shredder somewhere because they couldn’t legally be sold. *tear*
Well, I think the covers were printed separately to be autographed, and then they were placed in the CDs that were sold online (the regular covers were removed).
The extra CDs apparently went to discounters because someone ended up paying $12.99 or less for them eventually (as can be seen on ebay), and some record stores got boxes of them and are now unloading them on ebay as well.
I wish I had found a few for 12.99!
I keep thinking I’ll find one at the Goodwill or something some day. LOL
I always look when I see stacks of CDs at yard sales and Goodwill. One day….LOL!

I hate when I am late to the party… I haven’t even watched the videos yet.. the screen capture took my breathe away!! I really have to learn how to do that!! I tried with a photo we will not talk about, but I kept messing it up. *Sigh* I’ll be back to blab.. hang on.
First of all.. that pretend slow motion line kills me EVERY time! I love the look on Kevin’s face when Joe throws down the garbage. The Kevin promo is my favorite.. his face when he is going the “call me” is priceless!!! Joe is so adorable it is almost too much, and Nick just has a sense of humor that causes me to LOL! I am sooooo excited.. I cannot miss a moment; unless of course I am on a road trip!

That slow motion thing is one of my favorite parts. I think I’m going to be in love once this show starts. More than I already am that is…
Love the idea of a cam on each brother so we don’t miss anything! and of course watching 3 times will be the best way.
EW had a short piece voicing some of the concerns we had earlier-that maybe the show might be too connected to Disney and that’s not the direction the JBs really want to go in. I don’t agree because I think that many older teens watch HM and Wizards and that is always a good core audience for them.
Anyway, the writer came up with 3 shows that he would rather see each brother in:
Kevin-Greek
Joe-Gossip Girl
Nick-Friday Night Lights
and it’s obvs a bit toungue in cheek but if you are familar with those shows I think he actually did a good job of matching parts of their personalities to the shows.
I could have just linked it, sorry but it was a few days back.
Anyway bring on JONAS!!!
I LOVED that piece! It really did show a sympathy and familiarity with the boys, I thought. Loved that it said Joe could play an artistic type, Nick a young football player and Kevin a member of the campus ministry!!! It was just surprisingly insightful!
This is OT but I’m listening to my Jonas Brothers station on Pandora and a song from the cd movie soundtrack finally came on!! I’ve been waiting for songs from that to pop up on here! I can’t wait until songs from the JONAS soundtrack pop up! YAHOO!
I cannot wait for the movie to be on DVD….I don’t even want to imagine how much I will watch it. I will get nothing done.

I like the new one of Nick and Joe even with that guy in the middle LOL – and the HQ version of Joe cheering and Nick just smiling at him. IT’s part of my screensaver and the HQ version will look much better!

And as for JONAS, I think it’s really brilliant. It’s a way to stay connected to the younger fans, even though their music is maturing.
The show will have a large viewer base – from the tiny ones who just watch whatever is on DC, to the teenies, and us older devoted fans.
The youngsters, who would be unlikely to attend concerts, will be able to buy the merchandise, watch the show weekly, etc. Great way to suck them into Jonasism!

yeah I agree Trish. I’m always surprised by how many little ones AND older teens watch Hannah Montanna. But HM is kind of going through the motions at this point. JONAS looks new and fresh with enough for both those age groups.

Miley’s twitters are unreal! She twitters how she stays up all night before a GMA appearance and then looks and feels awful-totally unprofessional.
I saw some of her appearance on GMA and also some of Emily Osment’s on another morning show. Emily was talking about college and being a writer. Such a contrast to MC!
That doesn’t surprise me about KG-that’s her type of humor. Not mine though.

I’m sort of ok with seeing it-I’m tired of all the cartoons and 3d stuff (with one HUGE exception) and I have to say the scenery looks lush. But I do find her irritating.

On People.com they have a short video about the Jonas Brothers revealing secrets about themselves. Some of it was seen during their movie promotion trip but they have a little additional footage including Nick tossing a pretzel to Joe who catches it in his mouth like a seal!

I too plan on seeing the HM movie, but definitely not telling anyone. I’ll be going while I’m home on break, and I’m going with my best friends younger sister who are in high school. We’re even driving 20 minutes away so no one will recognize us.
My son Brody (16 as of last Sunday) wants to go to the midnight showing here!!! He has plenty of ‘girls who are friends’ that will go with him. lol
LBF totally wants to see the Hannah Montana movie…even our mother, who is surly about such things, thinks it looks potentially good. Maybe we will all go, but then again probably not because we don’t go to the movies that often without a REALLY good reason.

I got the IAT autographed cover today in the mail. I was surprised that Nick looked so stocky in the photo but maybe it was just the clothes he was wearing.
I see on Just Jared Jr. (I search all sorts of sites looking for Jonas news) that Miley told him that she dreams about Nick. He rescued her from Jonas fans that were attacking her and took her to their helicopter. Some people are interpreting that to mean she wants to get back with Nick. Personally, I think that Justin is the man for her….he looks like her father and has about the same intelligence level as Billy Ray (setting up your 16 year old daughter with a 20 year old!). Nick is too intelligent for Miley plus I’ve read he likes to have deep conversations. She seems way to shallow for him. I also get the idea that she likes to be in control of a relationship. She can get away with that like Justin…he seems pretty whipped by her. Nick probably got fed up with her trying to boss him!
Jan, my own private theory is that Nick at 13/14 thought Miley was pretty, and that she shared his religion and his values, and he was impressed with her beauty and her talent. And then after a while he realized she was not a good match for him – her values don’t line up with his, and she’s more immature and shallow than he wants a girl to be. I also think this image of her has pretty much panned out as true.
