Just a guess… but I think that footage in the park near the river is the new song!!!
And here’s something weird…Fandango doesn’t show any theaters in Boise, or the next town over, Meridian, that have showings available yet for the movie. Yet, Nampa, which is much smaller than Boise, about 30 minutes away, has showings available for opening day, Feb. 27. Not sure if I should snag those now?! (I’m not even familiar with that theater!) or wait for Boise??!!
I was just looking around too, and I think I would wait a bit. It looks like they are just inputting the showtimes so I would think they will pop up throughout the day. I guess they just got to some towns earlier than others.
Though, since most of us are planning to see it more than once…could it hurt?

Well, it is 7 weeks away. Surely I’ll be able to procure some kind of tiks within the next 7 weeks? Quick, someone, reassure me!
I just asked at our Muvico last night. She never heard of it and said tickets would go on sale no earlier than a couple weeks ahead of time .
I was talking to my BFF last night – we’re seeing it a couple of times together – and she said the shows in the morning on weekdays should be pretty easy to see LOL. We’re going to go while the kiddos are in school … don’t worry I will take my DD another time! DS – only if he wants to go!
It only comes up with 4 theatres in Atlanta showing it. But I know the theatre by my house will – it is the largest in Atlanta. I’m just going to assume that all theatres will be releasing ticket info seperately…. Ahhhh!!! Can’t wait!!!!

I think Fandango should be selling tickets for most theatres ahead of time, if your preferred theatre is listed there and you see current shows for sale – once the theatres have their schedules submitted. It’s pretty widespread…isn’t it?

Yes, I agree Coolmom! No problem! It shows many many times and it will in all likelihood be extended just like HM was. THey try to “panic” you in the beginning to sell tix, but don’t worry.
If you have a Muvico, check their site and you can get tickets in advance at the theatre or online when they go on sale.
Muvico.com has it up in the upcoming section but no info whatsoever yet. I think tix will be on sale in early Feb, possibly second week of Feb.
It says that it’s not playing anywhere near my Indy zip code. I wouldn’t worry coolmom! I’m not going to stress out just yet…..it’s not like I’m not going to see the movie ten times with the money I would have spent on Detroit concert tickets.

The HM run was much more tightly orchestrated, I guess…’limited run” tix were so heavily promoted and sales went up pretty much simultaneously across the country on a certain midnight, so I assumed. Back then, they were really capitalizing on how many people felt cheated out of the real thing, I guess. ‘Sokay…much less tacky this way!

For those of you who can find tickets, what are the prices that are coming up for you? For me, there is one regular theater that has tickets for $10.25 and an IMAX for $15. The regular theater is a little farther than me so I guess either way it could kind even out. Do you think it will be pretty much the same, as far as experience? I think someone mentioned in an earlier thread that they saw HM in a regular theater, how was it?
I really want to go to the first showing at 11 a.m., but my niece will still be in school.
I would imagine that the theater would be calmer at that time of the day.
I’m the one that saw HM at the regular theatre. It was fine – effects were great. But my regular theatre is a state-of-the-art AMC with awesome screens, excellent sound and stadium seating!
For HM, tickets were $15, whereas a regular movie ticket there is normally about $10.
I saw HM at the Muvico – regular theatre. Normal movies are $9.75. HM was $15. I assumed it was due to the 3D effects and the glasses. Plus it was a special engagement, originally scheduled for 1 week and then extended.
Our Muvico is also really really nice – state of the art, stadium seatng etc. There are NO bad seats in it, and especially not for 3D. Every seat is fantastic.
That is why the DVD was a MAJOR BUMMER. LOL
See it as many times as you can in the theatre in 3D because the DVD will not be the same – they can’t do “Real 3D” technology on TV sets! IT’s red and blue glasses and it’s nothing but a freakin’ headache. Just sayin’.
Ok, cool. Thanks Trish and flamom. The regular theater that will be showing the movie in Sacramento is in a newer, developing outskirts of the city. I’m guessing it’ll be really nice too. It might be an AMC. So I should be fine. Then again, if I’m disappointed I could just always see it again at IMAX!
YAY, I got the tickets!! We’re going to see it at 7 pm on the 27th… I am so excited! Just today I was saying that I’d really want to purchase the tickets already, and then, BOOM, I found this post! We’re going to Regal Southland Mall Stadium 16, anybody familiar with it?

In February, Molly, that’s when I’m going too! I hope it works out for you! I’m SO with you on the need of warm weather… I considered this a warm day and it was about 30 degrees outside. Lol. Can’t wait to go to the beach and get a tan! Right now I pretty much look like a ghost when it comes to skintone. But so does almost everyone else in Finland this time of the year, so I’m not alone.
Awww Elisa, I’m with you on the cold weather. 30 degrees feels like summertime right now! I got so desperate for sunlight and some color on my skin that I resorted to going tanning. I know, I know it’s horrible but I am practically see through in the winter I am so pale. It felt great.
No judgement here, Molly, I’ve thought about it myself! But I have really light skin and I’m kind of worried that I’d end up looking like a carrot, lol. Let’s just say that that’s been known to happen to some girls in our school…

tlatz – ours cost $15 across the board at a couple different theaters. We bought some at a place that has IMAX…but I’m not sure the screening is being held in the IMAX or if there is a noticeable difference seeing it that way? We saw it in a regular theater last time and it was perfectly supercool, effects-wise.

Mememoi – it was a bummer. But it did have the JB song from their starting set on it, so that was good. I was disappointed that they did not include a few JB songs though. They have the part where they are killing time for the clothing change between HM and MC but I really want to remember the 45 minutes in the red suit.

Flamom, I’ll be in the Sarasota area. We’ve gone down there every spring break since I was little to visit my grandparents- they have a condo there that they would stay in during the winter. Ever since my grandpa passed away a couple of years ago, my grandma hasn’t gone down as much as she’d like, so my mom is taking her just to visit and get out of the cold weather.
So she said if I could get off work and find a plane ticket that wasn’t outrageous, they’d send me too. Hooray! I said ‘I may be on my own now and supposedly be supporting myself but if you’re going to offer to pay for my plane ticket, I’m totally not gonna say no.’
Found the plane ticket, now I just have to talk to my boss and see if I even have any vacation time. I just started there at the beginning of Dec….think it’s too early to ask for an advance on my vacation days?

I loved Nick’s curls – still do – but his look is completely different now and I love it immensely. So no complaints. I love it all. And gosh knows his current haircut helped me the most with Ethan’s hair. Ethan’s hair looked pretty fro-ey and crazy in preschool and early kindergarten!

OK … the boys were just ON! They looked AWESOME! I have to find some photos online for sure … LOVE how they look together, as always, Joe’s striped tie, and burgundy shirt, and Nick’s hankie, and shirt, and lack of tie, and Kevin’s tux. Plus all their hair was REALLY good.
