Devoted to Exploring and Celebrating Music [Giving]

At it again!

First they donated their A Little Bit Longer album cover outfits to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame’s exhibit on up and coming musical acts.

Now the Los Angeles Times music blog is reporting that the Jonases have pledged support for the extensive educational programming at the very new, cool-sounding Grammy Museum.  Specifically, their contribution will “help cover transportation costs for schools to visit the museum”.  Awesome.

Above is a computerized rendering of one of the museum’s exhibition plans (awesomeness added by Cpaig – see if you can find it!).

A description of the new museum, after the jump…

The GRAMMY Museum will occupy four floors at the heart of L.A. LIVE [Ed - Home of the Nokia Theatre & Staples Center]. This one-of-a-kind entertainment campus provides Los Angeles’ residents, commuters, guests and tourists with a world-class sports and entertainment destination.

The museum itself uses a dynamic combination of exhibits, public events, and educational programming to explore, celebrate, and experience: the enduring legacies of all forms of recorded music; the creative process of music-making; the art and technology of the recording process; and the history of the GRAMMY Awards, the premier recognition of recorded music accomplishment.

If we get our wish to visit California next year, and make it to Los Angeles, we’d definitely check it out.

Um, is it them on a sign looking thing over in the corner?? I am all for a trip to this awesome action!!

Their generosity and willingness to give is so admirable. 10% of their sizable income is a big chunk to donate.

I hope a lot of good comes out of all of their projects.

Awesome! Always doing good, those boys!

    Sneaky little addition, cpaig! :)

:) the additions make it complete!!

Once again they just never cease to amaze me!!

Wow, that’s awesome that they did that. The fact that their contribution will help transportation for school field trips reminds of the Living the Dream episode where they go on a “school field trip,” was it a museum in Vegas? Anyway, they would know a thing or two about the importance of traveling and getting an educational aspect from it!

tlatz I think that LTD episode was the Titanic museum in Vegas. So cute. And then Nick later referenced it in the concert and that was even cuter.

what a nice post…very thoughtful JBs.
cpaig I like what you added.

And something new and different to do in LA. I love the idea that it’s all about music instead of movies. Kind of cool.
Not that I don’t love movies but there’s a strong music connection in LA too so it would be really fun to explore.

and flamom I know this belongs on the other thread but I just shared your pics with my daughter as incentive to get her moving and she is overwhelmed and very happy.
She’s going to try and make a flip chart of our baaad boy.
    So thanks!!!

Boy, going to work and taking care of my family (you know, cooking, cleaning) has really put a crimp in my Reveling lately! It’s taken me an hour to read all the comments and look at all the pics, which are just WONDERFUL!! What a magical night that must have been. Sorry if this is old news, but you all should check out JonasBrothersFan.com. K&K did some interviews with Tim & Faith, Amy Grant, and MWS. How do they get these interviews and backstage priviledges??? I love how Amy Grant refers to them as “easy on the eyes” !! There’s also a quote on one of their fansites (I think JonasHQ) saying that Kevin “fears that day”, referring to the Grammys, and how nervous they all are. Any word if they are performing?

    Love the addition cpaig!

OceanUp is saying theres a new single out Jan 20th in Canada. It’s called Be Mine, and they make the connection to Please Be Mine. If it is the same song, that would be an amazing day in the Jonasphere. Now, I just need to make friends with a Canadian, or hop on Amazon.com
