I hope you all have been enjoying your holiday preparations with your loved ones as much as we have, this week. It’s been fun, but something’s gotta give, so we haven’t been right on top of things as much as usual, but all in the name of fete-ing with our family as you guys have, so it’s all good!
And so I pull myself away from watching this long enough to blog a little sendoff before we take a few good days of pure holidaying, here’s a little “Sibling Revelry Christmas Special” (ice skating free!) of Jonas interview vignettes from Popstar and a bit of non-Jonas caroling favorites thrown in, to cover what we’ve missed and what we’re anticipating in the New Year – and some Jonas tidbits too, but of course! Use your imagination and come along, after jump!!

Nick: We’ve been listening to Christmas music for about 2 months now.
Kevin: It all started…
Joe: Being in Kevins car…
Nick: The minute I put another layer on, like other than a t-shirt, when it was cold enough to put like, a long sleeve shirt on, I was like alright! Yeah!
Kevin: I pulled out the turtleneck the other day! I’m like, it’s on! [laughs]
Joe: A scarf, it’s all over. [laughs]
Nick: “Are you turtlenecking?”
Kevin: Yeah, he goes, “Are you turtlenecking right now?” You know it! [laughs]
Joe: It was such a classic “Ron Burgundy” turtleneck.
Kevin: It was like the beige..
Joe: It was like faded beige!
Nick: Faded beige, I like that color.
Kevin: You mean white? [laughs]
Nick: Kind of. [laughs]
OK, Revelers, cue up the music, it’s time for a song…
Ah, yes…
Fast away the old year passes,
Fa la la la la la, la la la la.
Hail the new, ye lads and lasses,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.
Here’s the new thing in the Jonasphere, further revealed this week, that I’m looking forward to the most:
In the meantime, we know the Jonases are coming to rest for a nice family holiday in Texas this year, but that their work has had them running back and forth around a number of warm places…
Kevin: Absolutely, no it’s really funny. We were driving in and this is very new to us being able to be in a warm climate.
Joe: We were in California and like, it’s super hot out but, you know, we’re listening to Christmas music and it’s something we’ve always done every year, listen to Christmas music, and get in the spirit. But it’s much easier when its freezing cold and there’s snow on the ground!
So how about a Christmas carol tailor-made for the warmer climes they’ve been finding themselves in this December?
But we can’t forget elsewhere back home…where we’re hearing…
And not just silver bells, but Red Kettles! Congrats to the Boys on the recognition of their Celebrity Impact with the Salvation Army!!!
And, Revelers, pat yourselves on the back for helping Sibling Revelry to send over $250 towards the cause.
Hopefully we all feel we’ve been able to do what we can to contribute this year, and now we can think about the little rewards for ourselves and our families…
Kevin: Stockings are fun for us, it’s all our necessities, like our razors, things that you know you need.
Joe: Stockings are awesome. Cella’s are the best. Mom! Cella’s! Like little chocolate covered strawberries [Ed: methinks he means cherries?...oh, Joe.
], the best.
Kevin: Giving gifts is just so exciting.
Nick: The best thing was when I could pay for things with my own money, when I turned like 13 and I could finally have something that I could pay for as opposed to someone else paying for it and that was such a great feeling and then I fell in love with giving gifts as opposed to, you kinda become that age and oh, it’s so much more fun to give them.
Joe: It’s so nice seeing their face when it’s like, “wow, I would totally use this” or “I really like this.”
Kevin: You purchased it like a month ago already, and you’re like, I want to give! You keep going to your closet and ohh, that persons gonna love this, you know, you just get excited! Half our gifts are already in Texas waiting, so.
Nick: I’m not done shopping. I have a couple more people to get…
Kevin: I have not shopped for you boys, I’m gonna be honest with you.
Nick: Me either!
Kevin: OK.
Nick: I say we just don’t give gifts to each other, that’d be good.
Joe: Well I already got your gift.
Nick: Alright, that was me trying to get out of it. [laughs]
Kevin: The gifts that matter are the things you paid attention to someone saying like 8 months ago. That they still don’t have or things like that.
Well, we know what the boys wanted for Christmas years ago…
A fan gave them THEIR wish, so who can blame these girls for trying?
Now, don’t forget to bring the Guys into your own holiday festivities…
You won’t want to miss the Boys in the Disney Christmas Parade which is airing on ABC-TV starting at 10am! (Or rockin’ New Year’s Eve with Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest, live from Times Square on the big night…don’t forget!) Watching that will mean that we’ll all…
But for now, let’s just take the Boys’ well wishes, both new…
…and old!
And have ourselves a Merry Little Christmas, and Hanukkah, and all the joy your traditions bring you.
Have wonderful continued holidays and we’ll see you in the comments!!
OK. One more flashback!
After that, yes…yes it is!!
And hey – what are some of your favorite non-Jonas holiday songs at this time of the year?

Oh, this makes me so happy and puts me in the holiday spirit. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and for bringing us so much joy!!
They make it really easy to love them so much!
Happy Holidays everyone!
That was amazing guys!
My favorite parts were definitely the Hippo video. I love that that video is from here in connecticut, and they show some good ol’ fashioned CT love with their Wolfpack jersey’s on!
Our favorite song this time of year at my house is without a doubt, dominic the donkey. Here’s a fun vid for those of you who haven’t seen it!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_C_G3tS234
Also, I’m a big fan of the team jonas vid this year. I’ve watched it over and over and i still find it so funny!
Happy Holidays ladies! I hope they’re wonderful!
Wow. I hadn’t seen a lot of this! Nick’s drum faces in the last vid were fantastic!!
I can never get enough Vince Guaraldi (Merry Christmas Charlie Brown) and newly discovered Oscar Peterson (both Jazz).
But, I just love this version of (ironically) “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” by Bare Naked Ladies and Sarah McLaughlin.
See a combo of the two here!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KnY6wkb9_Q&feature=related
Loo loo looooo …..
Merry Christmas!
Happy Hanukkah!
Thank you for an amazing Christmas post!! First of all, I’m going to second Amanda and say that Nick’s drum faces are awesome – that boy cannot get any cuter.
The Popstar interview is too funny. My favourite parts were the beige discussion (“You mean white?”) and the part where they talked about buying presents for each other. (“Alright, that was me trying to get out of it.”) Oh, and of course: “Are you turtlenecking?” Lol. If I haven’t mentioned it lately, I LOVE these Boys.
I can’t stop watching the TJ holiday greeting. I even made my stepdad watch it and he was like “They’re nuts!”. I know. That’s why I love them so much.
In Finland we actually celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve, so I’ve already opened all my presents… Didn’t get to enjoy mom’s Christmas dinner much, because I got the stomach flu (?) yesterday, spent the entire day throwing up and haven’t been feeling all that great today either… But I’m getting better. Fortunately there are a LOT of leftovers, so I’ll get my share tomorrow! : )
My favourite Christmas songs are ‘Happy Christmas (War Is Over)’ and a Finnish one called ‘Varpunen jouluaamuna’ (A sparrow on Christmas morning). It’s actually an incredibly beautiful song with beautiful lyrics, although the name sounds a little weird.
Merry Christmas everyone!!
Fabulous post! Thank you so much. I had never seen the last video, sot that was quite a treat.
One of my favorite Chirstmas songs:
O Holy Nght and when I found the version below on YouTube, I had to use this link.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ormzopwvYiw
Enjoy your holidays, everyone!
what an awesome post!! Thanks mememoi.
It’s nice to know how much they really love Christmas and just being together. And how generous and giving they are. Sighs.
The best parts for me: turtlenecking
Joe and his “cellas” (I’m sorry to say we are not candy compatable, eww)
Nick rocking out on the drums in that 2nd video.
Nick trying to get out of buying them presents but Joe has already bought them (or is he bluffing?)
And of course seeing how far they’ve come since the Wyckoff video.
They deserve to have the best and happiest Christmas ever!
Anyway it’s all amazing and has got me feeling so warm and happy.
My favorite modern Christmas songs are George Micheal’s Last Christmas and Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas.
I love the Charlie Brown Christmas cd Cpaig but it makes me sentimental and weepy. In a good way.
And I love all the old traditional songs (including o Holy Night, thanks sharpld) and Carol the Bells. All good.
I love hearing what everyone is doing and has done-I wish you all the best and happiest holidays ever!! And special shout out to Cpaig and Mememoi for giving us all hours of great Jonas time. You’re the best!
Am I the only one who got my Team Jonas gift today?????!!!!
I don’t want to spoil it if you don’t want to know what it is…but it’s pretty sweet!!!!!!! I was so excited to open my door when the doorbell rang and see a cardboard box with the JB logo on it!!!!!!!
mememoi, that was great!
My favorite Christmas song is Silver Bells and I love the Little Drummer Boy by Bing Crosby and David Bowie.
Since I work in a toy store, another of my favorites is I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas!!! I’m really not kidding. I can’t believe our boys actually got a Hippo! I’m still waiting for mine!!
Thanks again for a look back!
Amanda you lucky! I didn’t get my Team Jonas gift…that is quite the little Christmas miracle! LOL…something to look forward to, yay!
Glad you all enjoyed this!
Merry Christmas!!
Awesome post, natch, ladies! The interview was a HOOT. And I hadn’t seen “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” rocked up Jonas-style. Awesome!!
I love Christmas music like I love all music, so can’t pick one favorite. But I have always loved “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen”. I have had a life-long love affair with Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”, so it just fits for me.
As a personal aside, may I just say a really heartfelt “Thank you”, cpaig and mememoi, for all the love, care, work and joy you lavish on Sibling Revelry and we, the Revelers. Our little gang of fans has been such a joy this past few months, I can’t wait to see what 2009 brings!
Happy Holidays to all! All the best in the New Year!
Oh I can’t wait to get the TJ Gift!!
I don’t like choc covered cherries either, but if Joe wanted me to, I would. LOL!
I prefer buttercreams! Yum!
Merry CHristmas sweet ladies!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everybody! We are in the midst of a major snow storm and it’s supposed to snow all night and into tomorrow. Yay, White Christmas for Idaho!
I second Coolmom’s sentiments. We love you, Mememoi and Cpaig! Thank you so much for providing us with this place to chat with friends and revel in the boys!!
Merry Christmas everyone! I don’t post much but I read this blog a thousand times a day.
Guess what??? My DH got me 2 Jonas Brothers pins today for Hanukkah. One with Joe and one with all 3 (from the SOS single cover in the UK). So adorable! I love them!
When we were out today with my in-laws, my FIL was complimenting Ethan’s haircut and how nice it is being shorter on the sides and long in front, etc. So I showed him Nick’s photo and said “this was my model for his haircut.” he said oh yes its just like his – who is that?? LOL
So my MIL says, that is the guy she is driving 900 miles to see in Nashville! She thinks I am NUTS and CRAZY for loving the JB …
If this is crazy I never want to go sane!
Oh I wish someone were around to pour love on the JB with me …
That Brazilian interview – Nick is so funny, meaning so serious and so mature. Love him! Love how he says a girl should be classy – hmmmm, wonder who wasn’t classy. Huh.
The Disney parade was fantastic – they sounded awesome. I actually thought about them several times today and wondered how Texas was, and how the weather was, and if they were golfing, or who they were hanging with.
Whew!! I love Christmas, but I’m always slightly relieved when all the hoopla is done and we can get back to normal.
The girls loved the shirts and posters that “Santa” left in their stockings. And independantly, they each wanted to give the other a shirt with their fav bro on it, so now Sugar has two Joe shirts, and Spice has two Nick’s. The posters are gorgeous, they are the cover of the “Burnin Up” single. I was really wishing I had bought myself the Kevin one, though I have absolutely no idea where I’d hide it from my hubby!
I missed the parade on TV today, so I’m going to look for it on youtube.
A new blog post from JB—short but sweet. Then only thing that would have made it even more perfect is if they would have said, “We miss you, we love you.” Don’t they know we can’t get enough of them telling us they love us???!!! lol
http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=22191827&blogID=458958701
Ooooo, here’s a vg Youtube of the parade today:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeR7eMpNhTk
Enjoy!
There’s also a Disney page with the vid and other stuff:
http://disney.go.com/dxd/index.html?channel=17077#/disneygroups/celebrate/
happy christmas sibling revelry! hope everyone is enjoying a great day with their family and friends. i got lots of cereal for christmas (seriously.) keep up the awesome work on this site! i’ll see you in 2009!
Greg – Ooh… cereal? SWEET! (I am feeling a craving for Lucky Charms coming on right now!)
I got a super awesome book where different artists were asked to draw portraits of William Shatner. It is very cool! I am big into pop icons at the moment.
As always, thanks for all of the love! This would not be half as fun without all of you – and that goes for all Revelry readers (lurking or de-lurked)!
Thanks for the links coolmom, and Amanda! And thank you Flamom for the link to the Popstar interview (back on the THS post) – classic!
Sorry to hear you were sick at Christmas Elisa, that is no fun – I have been there. I hope you feel better now.
Awesome about the pins Flamom, I got some Camp Rock Stickers and the last People Magazine (which was Jonas heavy).
I am very excited for the Team Jonas gift and will keep my eyes open.
Merry Christmas!
Happy Hanukkah!
BRING ON 2009!
My friend gave me the copy of People with the Jonas Christmas stuff.
My kids got SO many toys from their grandparents as usual. I don’t know where I am going to put them all! I’ve already purged and donated so much but I’m going to have to make some more cuts.
Thanks for all the kind words, everybody! FOR REAL!! You have no idea how much it means and warms the cockles(??) of my heart.
I am now on the way to crashing after a very long and very fun Christmas day – ah, good stuff. What a day, what a dinner!
I love hearing about all your presents! Mine were awesome and so, so thoughtful.
For the little ones, we managed to keep things relatively lowkey present-wise (not saying much, since I am comparing to our previous, quite overdone years) But I am patting myself on the back a lil to say only one out of LBF’s several gifts required batteries, and that was her VERY well-received drum pad. That trend probably won’t last, though, with the impending storm-front of her grandparents looming from the North.
Time to plan for New Year’s…hmmm. Merry Christmas & GoodNite!
My kids got guitars from their grandparents! Rachel wants a pick – she is using a dime LOL! I’m like – go for it kids! Get a band together!
Do you think Nick might have an extra pick he’d want to give us? LOL!
Coolmom, you are my hero! You love Kevin as much as I do and I am VERY obsessed with him. Actually, Kevin is the only JB I would leave this life for(but alas, Danielle beat me to him). I wish more fans loved him like we do. He really is a great guy and a hot one too.:)
OK…..who is this “Greg” dude? Is someone here posing as Garbo? Because I’ve read his blog, and his puncuation is way better than that! You gotta give us more than just his obsession with cereal. Ha!
I’ve been away for a long time, and it’s good to catch up. My mom was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 22, so we spent Christmas at the hospital and celebrated in the Family Waiting Area – opened presents and everything there! It was quite interesting. My kids certainly won’t forget this Xmas with their Grandma! It’s one of those situations where the Drs. don’t really know what’s wrong with her (she has several blood clots and they don’t know why). So they have done every test under the sun and are just keeping her til they figure it out. Frustrating…. She called from the hospital to let my girls know that JB is on Regis this morning. She’s always keeping her eye out for JB for my girls! I assume it was a repeat.
Anyway, thanks for all of the wonderful posts. And I’ve said it before, thank goodness for this site! Hope everyone had a great Christmas, Hanukkah, or whatever you celebrate!
Monica I hope your Mom is better soon!
Monica, I’m so sorry. I hope she’s feeling better soon. You sound like you made the best of it though.
Happy Boxing Day to everyone. Including Greg. Yeah we love Gregs here…… keep posting!
So glad everyone had a nice time and kept Jonasing!!
Coolmom I lost your email and just had a quick question if you’re on. Mine is bre9995@aol.com. thx.
Just saw the rerun on Regis and Kely and my was amazed qt how politw they all were, especially with each other.
Sorry to hear about your mom Monica. I wish her (and you) the best.
Happy Boxing Day to everyone, too. What is it that housework feels not-so-dismal on this day?
Well put, Merry – any and all cereal-loving Gregs are indeed always welcome here at SibRev.
Monica, best wishes for your mom. Sometimes those unexpected, unconventional Christmases end up meaning the most when you remember them. So I hope so! And I hope she feels better (or at least gets a diagnosis to put your family at ease).
Wow, it’s nearly 2009. Time is flying!
just saw my computer went a bit crazy on the last post,
my mom was amazed at how polite they were on R & K.
Hope your mom is well soon Monica!!!
Merry belated Christmas and Happy belated Hanukkah to everybody! I’ve been everywhere these last couple of days and I’ve also been nursing a bad cold so I haven’t been on here in awhile! I missed everyone!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!! I found myself wondering about the boys yesterday as well! Hoping they were relaxing and having a wonderful Christmas. No snow in central Indiana….just rain. It was below zero last weekend and it’s supposed to be 66 tomorrow. WTF?!?! Oh well, there’s always hope for a white christmas next year!
Great post mememoi. Thanks to you and Cpaig for doing what you do and giving us a place to come a chat about just how much we love the boys, among many other things! You all are the best!
p.s.- the boys on Disney yesterday=GREAT
Monica, I’m sorry to hear about your mom! I hope she’s doing better and that your family had a nice Christmas anyway.
You guys got such nice gifts! I didn’t get anything JB related. But, in my parents’ – oh, I mean Santa’s defence, there’s really no JB merch available here, so it’s ok.
And I did get some really nice presents. I especially love my new iPod!
Flamom, that’s so cool! How old were your kids again? Five… and seven? (Sorry if I’m totally wrong!) They could learn to play all of your favourite JB songs and then you could just make requests for them… “Hmmm, right now mommy wants… Hold On. Hit it, kids!” Lol!
Btw, did you hear about the JB/Timbaland song that will be on his next record? That’ll be interesting! Can’t wait to hear it.
Hope you feel better soon mollyanne!
My 15 year old got a keyboard and Kayla got an electric guitar for Christmas! Now we need a drum kit…I’m all over it. Maybe Jack could give me lessons??!
We also got ‘Disney Sing It’ for the Wii. It has all the Camp Rock songs on it. Sweet!
I’m going to go see if my TiVo automatically recorded Regis. I think that was the one I missed and never recorded before. Can’t wait for New Year’s Eve!
Yes Elisa! 5 and 7 – you remembered exactly! I would love to request JB songs. My DH is a drummer and I really wish he was a guitarist.
Remember to pick up your Camp Rock ornaments, stockings, wrapping paper, snowglobes, Christmas frames and dashboard thingies at Target for 50% off! (or wait for 75%)
Thanks coolmom! I thought I was getting better then it went from my head to my chest. UGH! Oh well, thank goodness I have the weekend to rest up before going back to work!
Amanda thats awesome! I bet Jack would be more than happy to give you lessons! Or Nick….sigh* That’s even better. And Kev could give Kayla guitar lessons! And Joe could….well, Joe could just sit there and look pretty
Aww…Joe has much to teach, too! I’m sure he could help with some of the basics and his stage movement ain’t easy!
Not that Joe doesn’t have a multitude of talents…..I just like when he gives that look. Hehe you know what I mean.
Oh yes, yes.
Front Man 101: Making you look GOOD.
Or Mic Stand Choreography 101: Making the use of a mic stand just plain sexy.
I’m signed up for both.
I just want him to imply that he will teach me how to dance and then have it come to nothing like in Camp Rock.
Sorry — that was a low blow.
I would sign up for both Front Man 101 and MSC 101.
Though, Nick has some magic powers with those mic stands too – we witnessed it in Reading.
What do they say about Joe and his tambourine, Mollyanne? Something about “forget the tambourine and …”
j/k! Couldn’t resist!
ohhhh cpaig, Nick has magical abilities with everything. He is all-powerful. LOL!
haha flamom! Oh goodness, what have I started.
Oh by the way, I got my 4 year old nephew started on the JB today. I’m excited both to see where this leads and to have a JB buddy who won’t think I’m a dork.
