Vegas Or Bust! [Open]

November 28, 2008 by cpaig

vegasorbust

The Guys are scheduled for an appearance on Good Morning America this morning, but we are getting ready to hop on the plane and head off to Vegas to see them! W00T!

We will be thinking of you, we will do our best to document our adventures, and we will share them with you when we get back. Or, you can follow us on Twitter!

Other than that, we really hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving (if celebrating), and this is an open thread to talk about GMA, great ideas for leftover turkey…whatever. Enjoy!

They were positively charming on GMA. They got to be outside, donating coats and a check for 10K to the Warm Hearts, Warm Coats drive. They came inside to eat some of Emeril’s Thanksgiving leftovers. Kevin’s comment was something like “We’ll take all the food we can get.” I know, when do they have time to eat?

The questions for them in the Hot Seat were predictable. What’s on your IPod? How do you stay in shape? (Nick and Kevin admitted their aversion to working out.) They were a bit stumped by the “Which actor would you choose to play you in the movie of your life?” They have answered that one pretty easily before. I guess the climate is different now. Nick seemed to do most of the talking. Kevin made great faces, and Joe was delightfully dreamy.

Have a blast in Vegas, Revelers! I wish you a safe journey. To quote the tweeners: Peace, Love, and Jonas.

  3. on November 28, 2008 at 12:12 pm flamom

Nick looked really hungry on the GMA set! he was wolfing down the food. So cute and very 16!

  4. on November 28, 2008 at 5:15 pm tlatzotzontli

Haha, yes flamom. That made me laugh. I can’t remember what segment they did after the part with Emeril, but I think there was a quick shot of the guys and it looked like Nick was still eating.

It was really funny that the guy kept saying that the book was #1 on the NYT best sellers list. I wonder where it really is on the list. Oh, and Nick liked the cheerleaders at the Dallas game yesterday. haha.

I hope everyone that is going to Vegas has a safe and adventure-packed trip! I will definitely be checking Twitter for updates. How fun!

I haven’t been able to watch GMA yet, I hope that it will be posted on YouTube soon! Poor Nick, not getting enough food… Lol. And Joe being “delightfully dreamy”? I’ve got to see that. ;)

I’m really excited for mememoi, cpaig and everyone else who’s going to Vegas! Although I must admit that I’m also green with envy :P Can’t wait to hear everything about it. Wish I could go, too…

  6. on November 28, 2008 at 11:03 pm flamom

Wanna hear another humiliating Jonas story from me?

At dinner with 2 other couples tonight – one DH friend was showing off his cell phone – Simpsons episodes, Tom Petty videos, etc etc. My DH pulls out his iTouch – Transformers, video games, etc etc.

I was like – ha! I have you both beat!

    …

And I pulled out my iPhone with JONAS BROTHERS videos! Yes FOUR of them! :)

So I did ask for it – but I refuse to be ashamed of the greatest boys in the whole world (other than my own great boy Ethan).

  7. on November 29, 2008 at 4:01 am Tiffany

    We’re halfway to vegas ourselves!
another 6 hours or so and we’ll be there!

  8. on November 29, 2008 at 6:46 pm Elisa

Lol, Flamom! What did your friends think? Surely their reaction was something like “Wow, I want that on my phone, too”? :P

Tiffany, that’s so cool! Have fun!!

  9. on November 29, 2008 at 11:38 pm mollyanne

It’s ok flamom, I’m getting my iphone tomorrow…SQUEEE! I’m pretty excited.

What is the first thing I am doing? Yes, putting my favorite vids of the boys on it. You’re not the only nerd here :)

  10. on November 30, 2008 at 12:13 am flamom

I told my DH I did not know I was supposed to put the Matrix on it LOL! He said – yeah, you’re supposed to show off “the technology!” :)

HEY! I just saw LOVEBUG on MTV’s HITS Channel!!!! SO exciting!

  11. on November 30, 2008 at 7:14 pm mollyanne

Who cares about technology when I can have vids of the boys with me wherever I go??

    That’s so exciting!!!

Ok so who else is dying to hear about the vegas concerts?

  12. on November 30, 2008 at 8:39 pm sharpld

I read a review of the show in the Morning Call. The show got great reviews and the article was well-written. The photographer got a chance to speak to Kevin Sr. For some reason, this quote struck me as odd:

“This is the first visit to Vegas we’ve made now that the oldest, Kevin, has turned 21. I won’t have to worry about putting a chain on him to keep him away from any temptations because he’s a good boy and very well-grounded.”

I know I am reading too much into things, but the tone of this makes me fear that the eldest Jonas is not being afforded the transition into adulthood. It is meant as a statement of trust, I think, and I don’t expect that K2 would go cavorting around Sin City partaking of the party favors to prove a point. It just makes me wonder how tightly the boys are controlled by all of those around them.

Does anyone else feel that undertone in the comment? I know, I worry about them way too much …

  13. on November 30, 2008 at 8:45 pm flamom

I read it the opposite of you, Sharpid. To me it sounds as if the father is saying he no longer has to “watch out” or “protect” Kevin because he trusts Kevin to protect himself.

Now that he is 21, he can drink and gamble. Both of which their church does not allow.

They grew up with an extremely strict Christian fundamentalist viewpoint, and they still have it. I’m sure they have and have had very tight parental control. Not only were they believing members of the Assembly of God, but their dad was the lead pastor. :)

It’s not the same view a lot of other people have but it sure keeps them on the straight and narrow. I wholeheartedly approve of it, just as an aside.

  14. on November 30, 2008 at 10:03 pm flamom

You gotta read this – POOR KEVIN.

    http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/music/article5244849.ece

  15. on November 30, 2008 at 10:42 pm sharpld

Thanks for offering the other side, flamom. I hoped it was meant to be positive. I just worry a lot about the boys as individuals. So not my place, but anyway …

As for the article, I had seen it. It seems like the reporter sat on it for several months, though. There is no way they were out of the U.S. last night. I didn’t pay too much attention. I think Kevin handled the situation with grace. The reporter was obviously out to stir the pot, when it didn’t work; he made media training sound like a bad thing. Nope, in this case, it was used as designed.

  16. on November 30, 2008 at 10:45 pm Barbara

    Re: the article:
Why do people act like virginity is a new, foreign concept? I mean, I know it’s hard, but some of these foreign reporters act like it’s totally freakish and impossible. It infuriates me.

There are many people of faith who believe that it is important to save yourself for your spouse. Hollywood is cynical. And so are most Europeans.

It is a little sad, though, that that Kevin, Joe, and Nick have so many pat answers to these questions. That’s why it’s so fun to see them like they were last week on Jay Leno and Jimmy Kimmel. Relaxed and having fun. Sometimes I wish I could be friends of the family and band and hang out with them all. Just as a friend.

  17. on November 30, 2008 at 10:53 pm Mae

Whew! Spending the holidays in a location without internet sure can make you a lil stir crazy! I’m trying to catch up on all the Jonas news!

flamom – that’s a really interesting article you linked to. Thanks for the link! One of the most insightful (actually probably the most insightful) that I’ve read on the boys actually. The details this writer provided and the quotes he got out of the boys are something.

I loved this bit: “It’s nice to be assured now that when I get on stage the audience will laugh at any joke, because they scream and laugh at everything I do. Even if it’s a bad joke,” says Joe, part mystified and part loving it that he is loved unconditionally.

Also loved the observation that “Joe and Nick giggle a lot together. They are light and funny.”

And this is interesting as well: Nick says: “We talk about this a lot, even though I’m only 16. Marriage is something that’s going to happen, but not in the near future. Music is important, but family has to be the most important. I think we would take a little while off if we would start a family. When Joe and I lie in our bed and we can’t fall asleep because of all the time changes, that’s exactly the kind of thing we talk about.”

I can somewhat agree with your ‘POOR KEVIN’ flamom, but at the same time I see what point the writer is trying to make – and I do think it is a valid one: the boys are asked the same questions over and over again. And they always have the same answers for those questions. They are versed in them. They know how to deal with the general media. And they are good at it. I appreciate the fact that this writer made an effort to dig a lil deeper. I think the writer was just looking for a lil meat. And Kevin handled the questions very well – he never let them fluster him as the writer noted.

All and all I thought it was an awesome article – I wish I saw more like it actually.

p.s.! All you Vegas show goers – soooooo how were the boys!? ; )

  18. on November 30, 2008 at 11:03 pm Mae

sharpid – I just wanted to go back and comment real quick on the quote this quote form Papa Jonas:

“This is the first visit to Vegas we’ve made now that the oldest, Kevin, has turned 21. I won’t have to worry about putting a chain on him to keep him away from any temptations because he’s a good boy and very well-grounded.”

I agree with you. I sometimes fear that the boys are kept on too short of a leash by those around them. I often wondering who really is holding that leash. As Kevin mentioned in that article linked by flamom, the boys trust their management 100%. I know their Dad is part of that management team, but I still sometimes wonder. It is obvious how much control their management has over them – regardless of how much they say they call the shots (I’m sure the boys do to some extent) – and I am comforted by the fact that their Dad is on that team – but still.

Not to hash out the Taylor/Joe situation anymore, but if what she said about Joe not being allowed to be seen with her in public is true – THAT is what I worry about for the boys.

I’m not sure if that was your line of thought – but figured I would share.

  19. on November 30, 2008 at 11:13 pm flamom

And why do people act like not having sex means you’re somehow not good enough to breathe air, or take seriously!? It really really makes me angry.

  20. on November 30, 2008 at 11:16 pm flamom

OK, and this! This part is so romantic it makes me blush. I think the writer of that article just may be in love with Joe and Nick.

“Joe with the straight nicely cut black hair. He has sparkling eyes, nice shoes, dark shirt, dark jeans. Such a handsome face. Nick looks studious. His skin looks like a child’s. His lips are full and pouty. His hair is looser-curled and lighter brown. Both are very sweet.”

Pouty!? I know I love up Nick lots too, but the boy is 16. :) (he IS a child – so his skin looks, um, about right!)

  21. on November 30, 2008 at 11:44 pm sharpld

Mae, yes, you were exactly on my line of thought. I attribute this to my overactive imagination, but I can’t help but think of them as captives. They have no freedom. The quote form their dad made me think the leash was just a little shorter than I had hoped.

On the TS issue, my husband and I have gone back and forth on the rights and wrongs of the whole thing. He has had some very unkind words for Joe, especially regarding the “can’t be seen in public” rule. I hadn’t thought about it much from her point of view until he brought it up, but he feels that if you are a star dating a star, you get what you get and paparazzi is part of that package. Being seen is part of that package. He felt that TS having to hide the relationship was very manipulative on the Jonas side of the house. Even if it wasn’t entirely at Joe’s behest. So again, there is that short leash and control issue.

At the end of the day, I can only hope that the management that they trust 100% truly has their well-being above their career in every instance.

  22. on November 30, 2008 at 11:48 pm sharpld

I have to agree, the reporter did write a good article. I also liked the line about their “closeness isolating them from others.” Banging my drum again, but how can you learn to live as individual when you have been one-third of a three-piece set for the majority of your life? I think the reporter did a good job of pointing out just how hidden their own personalities are, especially with Kevin, who does always speak from “we.”

Take a breath. Note to self: Relax, Mama Bear, they are fine.

  23. on December 1, 2008 at 12:52 am flamom

I agree they are on a short leash but I think it’s self created. I think it’s how they live within their family and how they were brought up. Growing up in a religious Christian home and being homeschooled can sometimes mean serious sheltering.

So they continue to be sheltered – they have not left home yet. When Nick is all grown up, things will change for them.

I think they are A-OK with how they are being treated. I don’t think it’s the management who is in charge of them, but their parents, and they accept it and desire it. I’m sure it makes them feel safe, secure and loved.

Plenty of kids from homes like this go out in the world and do great – and I might say more so than a “normal” home. I think they are stronger for it.

  24. on December 1, 2008 at 1:29 am jc

Yes flamom, I definately must agree with you. I am sure Disney has provided them with some pat answers to some of the relationship questions, ie, “she’s an amazing girl and anyone would be lucky to be dating her”. How often have we heard that one come out of the stable of Disney stars mouths? But I believe it is their parents who hold the leashes that keep them in check the most. These kids have values and believe that they are indeed role models for millions of young kids. I truly think that the boys take that seriously. I am an only child and can only wish that I had 2 brothers to share my dreams with. I think we can all agree that these 3 brothers have a very tight bond. It’s very refreshing to see that.

  25. on December 1, 2008 at 1:47 am Trish

Hi everyone! Missed you all over the holiday weekend and I’ve been thinking about all you Vegas goers the last couple of days! Hope you are having a great time mememoi, cpaig, Amanda, Tiffany….did I forget anyone?! CAN’T WAIT for an update!

That article burns me up. Why is it that people (ie, media) feel they have to try to tear them down? It’s as if everyone is trying to convince them to give up the purity rings or make them feel bad for making the choices they have made and it makes me so angry.

As for them being on a leash, well…I feel like they sort of have to be to some extent, just to make the whole thing work. I read Papa J’s comment as him acknowledging that Kevin is trustworthy. And by trustworthy, I mean that he was raised to act properly, and be responsible. And that’s a good thing, the goal we all have for our children! :)

  26. on December 1, 2008 at 3:08 am tlatzotzontli

That article was an interesting read, and I loved hearing everyone’s take on it.

The article has it’s good and bad points. Like Mae said, the article is kind of refreshing and insightful in one sense. It’s nice to see a reporter with the desire to get into the more serious issues. There was a condescending tone, but I think on some level, the reporter truly wanted to figure out what makes the guys tick.

Now one of the bad points, is that the article does make the guys sound naive. For example:

““And I would love to meet Mick Jagger. A lot of what I do on stage is Mick Jagger-inspired. I love the way he performs and how he dances.” You wonder about this. Joe Jonas, purity-ring wearer, wanting to know what put the Jaggerness in Jagger. Should I tell him it was lots of sex?”

Joe (and the rest of the team) is not stupid. They know about the way many celebrities lead their lives. But the thing that the reporter fails to point out is that whaile “lots of sex” may have put the Jaggerness in Jagger, that is not the only way to develop great stage presence. Joe simply said that he admired Jagger’s stage act, and because of that, it doesn’t mean that he has take on Jagger’s off-stage personality too. The amazing thing about the JB is that they are talented and put on a good show, and are able to uphold their high values throughout everything that they do because that is who they are as people. I guess it’s hard for the media people to wrap their minds around that because JB is breaking a stereotype.

  27. on December 1, 2008 at 3:33 am Tiffany

    Vegas was AMAZING!
of course, that was too be expected.
I had quite the drive, and I’m utterly exhausted but I just wanted to drop in and let you all know that they surely didn’t disappoint!
I was worried that they would seem tired, or atleast somewhat lacking since they had two shows that day, but you would never guess if you didn’t know!
Nick changed things up a little for ALBL.
I was expecting to hear him tell his story, but instead he said ‘Usually I tell a story at this point in the show, But I think I’ve told it enough, and you’ve listened enough.’
Another favorite moment, Joe had Kevin introduce a song, due to his new ’sexy man’ status.
I love that they tease him for that. It really shows that even when they’re on stage, they’re still just 3 brothers.
I also thought it was awesome that they thanked their parents. I just wish more of their fans would take their lead on that. I saw a lot of children not being very respectful of their own parents at the show. You would think more of them would want to show more respect because the boys do. But maybe thats just me.
Well, I have a few pictures, and some videos that I’ll probably put up links to later for you. It’s time for me to catch up on my lost sleep this weekend!

  28. on December 1, 2008 at 9:06 am flamom

You know what I sometimes think about? Nick just turned 16 – he’d be in 10th grade here in FL. He performed the songs on JB when he was 14! It’s just hard to believe other kids his age would be lucky to be playing in a “Battle of the Bands” and here he is writing multi-million $ songs.

  29. on December 1, 2008 at 9:39 am Monica

Flamom – I know! I think about that, too. Especially when I see other 16 year old boys and how they can be so immature and not have a clue what they want to do with their lives, here’s Nick who has lived more in his 16 years than most adults. He is so mature and wise beyond his years, it’s unbelievable to me.

I want to read the review of the Vegas show, but I can’t find it anywhere. It sounds like it was a blast! We saw them on the WYLMITE tour back in February, and it was such a great show, so I’m sure they’ve only gotten better.

The halftime performance was just “meh” for me. It was too rushed, which isn’t their fault, but I did like that they did a medley.

Re: the short leash, yes, they are on one, but for now, I think it’s for the best. Look at Miley. Her leash is quite long, and she’s taking full advantage. But what it all comes down to is that the guys are, I think, truly good, decent human beings. I can’t see them going out and doing anything stupid or controversial, simply because that is not who they are. My best friend is a morning show producer here in the midwest, and she has interviewed many Disney celebs, and she said they are all obviously trained very well in how to answer questions, and most interviews come across as quite boring. So I’m sure they’ve been told, to a point, what to say in certain situations. But with JB, I think they are who they are and they were raised “right” and what you see is what you get. I just wish more research was done before most of these pinhead “journalists” do some lame article on them.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Now, back to the grind!

  30. on December 1, 2008 at 10:19 am flamom

The JB are really limited in what they CAN say in interviews when the questions have anything to do with purity, or being religious, or Christians, or their rings, etc. Because if they say what they really think, they will be mocked and probably destroyed and humiliated for being religious. Plus they don’t want to “push” their beliefs on their fans. So they really can’t say much. THey can’t say what they really believe and it comes off really vague and weird but they don’t have a choice. There is just no other way to handle it.

  31. on December 1, 2008 at 1:48 pm Amanda

We’re baaaack! I am in that ‘post-Jonas funk’ (why can’t the time last forever???!!!!) but am coping.

I ended up swapping texts with Mememoi and Cpaig and even got to wave at them at one point (from our nosebleed seats–they were on the floor) but never actually got to hook up. It’s all good, though, we had an amazing time and both concerts were out of this world.

They were very similar, some of the spoken intros to songs were a tad bit different but all in all the two concerts were the same.

I have lots of video so I have to upload it to my Photobucket or something. The pics are really dark, but they’re ok. Nick was smiley, Joe was unbelievably charming, Kevin was HOT.

Kayla and I could not ever think of a better way to spend her 13th birthday. She was in tears for part of both concerts, she was so happy.

  32. on December 1, 2008 at 1:57 pm mememoi

    We *just* got back too!!!

I am off to slip into a brief coma…but we had a wonderful time at the 8pm and our whirlwind in and out of Vegas. We’ll be posting on it as soon as we can.

I think we underestimated the effects of jet-lag and time-changes for sure. Ooof!! LOL. But all for good reason. :)

And that we never got to meet up beyond texts just proves the necessity for a more formal meet-up. I am sorry we didn’t plan better to pull it off. The intensity of pre-, during and post-Jonasing is just…intense. LOL.

Happy belated to Kayla!! Glad you and yours got home safe, Amanda! You too, Tiffany.

  33. on December 1, 2008 at 2:49 pm Amanda

No worries, Mememoi, just knowing that we were breathing the same air space was cool! (not to mention the same air as Kev, Joe & Nick!) :)

And I definitely agree that it was intense…we drove 11+ hours to get there on Thursday, had Friday to goof around, then Kayla and I got to the venue at noon Sat., and didn’t leave there until 11pm-ish? (hubby & son met us there for the 8pm).

Then we spent yesterday driving 11+ hours back. We got home just before midnight and then I had to get the kids up to leave for school by 7:40 this morning. Whew!!

I hope you and Cpaig got to do at least some ‘Vegas-y’ stuff. Did you see the Bellagio Water? We always try to eat at In ‘N Out burger as many times as we can (just twice this trip).

  34. on December 1, 2008 at 2:57 pm Amanda

Nice review of the Hollywood concert last night!! Check it!
(sorry Kevin–I’m just joshin’ with you!)

  35. on December 1, 2008 at 7:12 pm Elisa

It’s so good to hear from you lucky Vegas goers! Soo… Tell us EVERYTHING! (I’ll try to keep my jealousy under control)

Re: Tiffany: “Another favorite moment, Joe had Kevin introduce a song, due to his new ’sexy man’ status.”

Hahah I love that! They won’t let Kevin forget it… :P

I read the review – thanks Amanda – and I thought it was well-written. I’m glad to see that the Boys are getting some well-deserved praises!

They played “I’m Gonna Getcha Good”? I LOVE that song! When I first heard JB’s version of it I think I almost fainted… Joe singing “Don’t want you for the weekend, don’t want you for the night, I’m only interested, if I can have you for life” was a little too much for me to take. Sigh! :) The Boys always seem to find really fun songs to cover.

And “Don’t Close the Book” (if I remember correctly and that was the name of the song), what was that like? And was it a new JB song or a new HS song?

Btw, I just ordered a JB 2009 Calendar… I bet my friends are going to have a blast when they see it on my wall! But I couldn’t help myself, lol.

  36. on December 1, 2008 at 7:52 pm flamom

I ordered a calendar too! And a Team Jonas shirt! Happy Hanukkah to me I say! :)

  37. on December 1, 2008 at 8:53 pm cpaig

Hey everyone – I am just taking a brief break from my coma – the trip home was grueling and I was not able to sleep – so I am low on energy.

I will have the post up about the show and Vegas tomorrow some time (I am off from work, thank goodness).

Amanda, we did get to see the Bellagio fountain – we had brunch on the Mon Ami Gabi terrace at the Paris (complete with Mimosas and oysters) and we had a great view of the fountain show!

Later we had McDonalds at the Luxor – LOL!

More about my impression of Vegas when I post tomorrow!

It was quite the whirlwind weekend…

  38. on December 1, 2008 at 10:44 pm coolmom

    Hey Everybody!

Finally, I got my computer back running. Dell sent me the part per my warranty, but instead of delivering it Friday it went to the wrong address! I just got it tonight (Monday) at 6:15 EST, after many phone calls to Fed Ex. I sure missed everybody this weekend, luckily I was busy with family/holiday celebrations or I would really have been suffering SR withdrawal!

Can’t wait to hear all about Vegas, glad the trips were great.

Re the article in the timesonline/uk: I KNOW this is a regurgitation because I remember some of these quotes coming through my Google alerts back when the guys were in Europe in October. I can’t remember which publication, but I’m betting this person just saw an opportunity with all the Jonas Press lately to cash in on some Jonas-interest.

  39. on December 2, 2008 at 12:55 am flamom

I’ve had Jonas on the brain all day. We get to see them tomorow night! woo hoo!

My DD announced today she wants a Nick pillowcase with the JB on the other side. LOL – I told her I could get her a Nick one but not with the JB on the other side.

  40. on December 2, 2008 at 3:16 am Trish

Glad everyone made it back safe and sound from Vegas! I’m so excited for you all.

Amanda, how I wish we lived near each other! I know our daughters would hit it off. Mine spent a good portion of our concerts in tears as well. Tears of love, joy, and just pure bliss from being near them, seeing them so “real”. Happy birthday, Kayla!

Elisa – I know what you mean about “Getcha Good”. Everytime I listen to that I have a Joe-ment! ;)

  41. on December 2, 2008 at 9:57 am Monica

My daughter just bought herself the “Shane” blanket from Target with her birthday money. It’s huge and has about a 5 foot image of Joe’s face on both sides. She is in heaven and says Joe keeps her warm at night (which I then, of course, give her the unapproving motherly frown for saying such a thing). Ha!

Apparently they have already taped the Christmas special which will air tomorrow night. I think I read they taped it last Friday.

We are patiently waiting for all the deets on the Vegas shows!!!!

  42. on December 2, 2008 at 10:10 am flamom

Anyone bidding on the BABs? Nick’s is still firmly in the lead, with Kevin and then Joe – Joe’s bear is really not doing too well.

I’m still in the process of using Photobucket’s ‘auto-fix’ to lighten my pics but here’s the link:

    http://s282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/akhowell_2008/JB%20Concerts%2011-29-08/

I’ve only uploaded one vid so far, it took forever! It’s the 3pm show opening, it’s not nearly as good or as close up as Katie and Karleigh’s on JBF.com, apparently they were in the front row!

I will probably put my journal entries up on my MySpace later, too long to put here! I’ll give the link when I do…

Yes, flamom, I am still the winner on Kevin’s bear so far. I bumped up the price so it would be higher than Joe’s (NIck’s was laready way out of my bidding comfort zone) and thourouglhy expected someone to outbid me, but as yet, no one has. So Merry Christmas to me. My hubby is NOT pleased.

Amanda, you got some good pics! Thanks for the link.

I am excited to read what everyone has to say about the Vegas experience.

Where are you bidding on their bears?

  47. on December 2, 2008 at 11:56 am flamom

Excellent sharpid!! Cool! They are on ebay Amanda!

  48. on December 2, 2008 at 12:06 pm Amanda

Oh, awesome, thanks flamom, I just saw them. I love Nick’s! Sharpld, I hope you win Kevin’s! It’s adorable. They must not have had any fancier shoes to choose from, I’m sure Kev would have chosen patent leather! :)

  49. on December 2, 2008 at 12:29 pm sharpld

I have seen patent leather at BaB, but they are usually Mary Janes. Not quite the look our Kev likes to sport. It seems like all of my daughter’s friends had BaB parties for their 5th birthdays, so we have enough bears and bunnies to merit their own toy box. I have to say that this one won’t go in the toy box. It will find a safe spot somewhere in my office, along with all of my other JB stuff. I really do feel like a big dork, y’all. More so than usual.

    Thanks for the photos Amanda!

sharpld, I am so jealous of you for getting Kevin’s BAB!

Loved the pictures, Amanda! Thanks for sharing : )

Lol, Sharpld, Kevin in Mary Janes? Thanks for the mental image! :P And it will be super cool if/when you get that bear, so don’t feel like a dork. I wish I could get one!

Did you win Kevin? I noticed they all ended well. That’s $1000 for charity! :)
