The New Jonas Brothers!!!!(?)

Jonas Brothers on The 5:19 Show with Tom “this is really hot” Deacon from 10.10.08.

This is an amusing show, and the Boys (that being Nick, Joe, and Big Rob) appear in video clips throughout. The format of this show is basically “some guy filming a show in his basement being helped by friends who don’t really seem to care about the show or like him very much”. That being said, it is quite charming.

Firstly, Tom apologizes for teasing Kevin about his pronunciation of croissant* (and therefore the Boys’ accents, collectively), to which the Guys respond with an equally mocking version of a British accent. We are “treated” to some footage of Nick Grimshaw “playing a Jonas”. Then the Boys participate in “Talk to Tom”.

They ask Tom the following questions:

Who was the 22nd president of America?
Why is there an “s” in the word “lisp”?
What is your favorite sandwich?

Hilarity ensues.

*(FYI, Tom, Websters says both pronunciations are correct – so there.)

What DID happen to Kevin? Did Big Rob bump him off? Is Big Rob replacing him ala the “Bewitched” Darren Switch? Do they not think we’ll notice?

This show, while REALLY strange, was actually pretty funny. Kind of Monty Pythonesque.

I know – I find it strange myself, but watchable at the same time. He is cute enough.

I love the goofy “out of body experience” challenge.

Who knows where Kevin was – maybe they taped this when he was doing the “quiz of shame.” They were on the Sound set.

*shrug*

I think Rob is great. But Kevin he is not.

I swear Joe was about to say “…and we’re the Jonas Brothers” right after Big Rob said “I’m Big Rob”, you know, out of habit…

Why don’t they have shows like this in America?
Simple, funny and allow these boys to show how goofy they REALLY are…

I loved it (then again I grew up with Mexican game shows where you dive into a pit of salsa trying to find a red flag…those cruel game show creators)

It means the truth – it is slang, and specific to Tom I am guessing, like a catchphrase.

He is basically saying “it’s the truth, it’s the truth”

I have no idea what the arm movements are all about.

thank you cpaig! i imagined that with the hand movements, it was some sort of reference to butter-churning.
though, now that i think about it, don’t you butter-churn vertically? yea. you do. so nevermind. off-topic…

and i agree with coolmom. i would DEFINITELY tune in to see the jonas brothers in salsa. ahahaha.

well, its not like the 3 are always together, and this looked like a quick “hey, do this” sort of thing, maybe he was on the phone or hanging outsomewhere else or something IDK. or maybe he was even sick.
