If I had been on the field at this moment I would have peed my pants.
There is Kevin Jonas (my favorite Jonas*) wearing a fetching alternate jersey for the Eagles (my favorite football team), kicking a ball held by my absolute FAVORITE Eagle (and one of the best kickers in the NFL) David Akers. Talk about fan worlds colliding!
The Guys stopped by the Novacare Complex in Philadelphia on 8.27.08 to meet some of the players and their families before their show just across the Delaware River in Camden, NJ (which we attended and about which we will give you details soon.)
Until then let’s cheer:
J-O-B-R-O-S JOBROS!
To wish them well on the remainder of their tour and to welcome back football season (if you are so inclined)!
Check out some more cute pics after the jump!
*I really love them all.
There is entirely too much cute on this field!
Ooof – Ugh – Almost got it… darn.
Joe takes advantage of his access to the Eagles gym.
And there are many more where that came from, here!
Check it out below around the :53 mark to see why David Akers is my fave!
This post is in no way a dig at anyone’s favorite football team. Go football! I’m just a girl who’s got to loves her local team, and let me tell you it ain’t easy being an Eagles fan, but effortless to love those Boys!

OK, Nick definitely looks the most natural in the football jersey. Someone has gotta get these guys some pants they can actually move in!
Very adorable though.
Love Nick’s smile. And the arms/muscles on Akers. Oh my!
Nick has really grown fast! In sneakers, standing side-by-side, the height difference among the three is negligible at this point. He does sport the jersey well.
That’s cool… wouldn’t it have been funny if they’d come out at the Panthers pregame I was at 2 weeks ago?
(I’m the blogowners’ sister, btw.)
My favorite Eagles are Hank Baskett and Brian Westbrook. FLY EAGLES FLY!!
Yes, Harlequinn, but who is your favorite Jonas?
Pfft. You wish!
Have they been running around the country wearing other teams’ gear?…or is this a sign of real interest in Mid-Atlantic sports teams?
Hehe. Tho, I know they love the Yankees.
(But I also know Garbo was at a Phillies game when he got the call that he was in the band, in 2005! WOOT!)
[LOL@Cpaig.]
Um…can I also point out that the Eagles Fight Song could use some reworking? I can only hope the Boys re-recorded it during their visit.
I’ve got to agree that Nick did look very sporting and darn cute in that jersey. Can I say that without sounding pervy? But of course, Kevin is still my fav, and I hope they all NEVER stop wearing tight pants!
I guess by default, my favorite Jonas is Nick. Because I fear the claws of the little one on my eyes less than the claws of you two, lol.
good call Harle – good call
Ha!
And let me just throw in my two cents that Joe was adorable, too.
…And kudos to him for managing to avoid having to kick a field goal or being photographed attempting to do so.
Nick looks the most sporty/athletic. I like it!!!!!
I can’t even imagine what that guy is going to look like when he’s 18.
(wow)
I have to agree with you flamom. Nick has gotten more and more handsome this summer.
I agree with all of you, Nick is super-duper uber cute. Of course, Joe’s laughing face in the one pic is absolutely adorable, and Kevin’s smiling face is super-duper uber cute as well.
And yes, Coolmom, you can say it without being pervy. As long as I can say it too.
I used to follow Pro Football a lot more, I was a SF 49ers fan when it was cool to be one (Joe Montana/Steve Young years).
Now I mostly follow college, our Boise State Broncos were the talk of the town for that fabulous Fiesta Bowl win over the Oklahoma Sooners 2 seasons ago.
does anyone know how they got this time to be with Akers or on the Eagles field? Does it benefit Philly/the Eagles in some way? Or is it a favor for the jonas bros?
I was wondering the same! But no one seemed to mention any beneficiary/promotion…
I wondered out loud to my daughter the same thing, flamom. Is it someone in the JB camp who sets up all these cool things they get to do, like the Indianapolis Speedway visit, etc. I think it’s awesome that most of the time JT, Ryan, Jack and Garbo ‘get’ to go, too.
I wonder if this is in line with what Kevin referred to as their “press corps” strategy for this tour where they schedule events and invite news outlets.
I am sure they can do pretty much what they want – I mean – it is good for the Jo Bros and good for whoever they are with, right? Win Win.
I’m just wondering how it benefits the Eagles or Akers. Maybe he has a daughter he got an autograph for?
Well it gets them hits to their website.
The JO Bros did a promo for them and the Eagles Kids site (ref: http://www.mcall.com/news/local/all-a1_5jonas.6565700aug30,0,6320140.story)
etc.
