Done and Done-r. [Awesome]

August 20, 2008 by mememoi

All that really bears saying tonight is…

NUMBER ONE!!!!!

Oh yeah…and TEN. And pretty much also EIGHT.

Third biggest album opening of the year! Amazing.

Everybody’s talking about their instant gold!

I feel tired.  *tissues*

Congrats to zee boys, three albums (yes I’m counting Camp Rock) is quite something! And I’m sure there are PLENTY MORE TO COME!

On a side note, am having a minor crisis. To buy or not to buy the Hannah Montana Concert Movie dvd? Upside, it has JB. Downside, I know nothing about Hannah Montana and it costs like … 23 bucks.

Hmmm….that is a dilemma. They are not in it very much. Maybe 10 minutes? I’d wait for the price to drop; bet the segments are easy to find on YouTube as well.

Wow, I did not understand anything but #1 at first xP I completely forgot that their previous album was bumped up to #10 and that Camp Rock is at #8 :P

    Wesley: Yep! :D

HELL YEAH!!! Nice job boys. You have worked so hard for this, and we are so thrilled for you.

It’s interesting, I’ve been watching the bonus features on the Camp Rock DVD, and there is a really interesting feature on the guys and what their life as rock stars was like back when they filmed the movie. It’s interesting to watch, because this was before they became SO HUGE, and yet, they are not so different now. They were down-to-earth, decent, cool people you would want to hang out with then, and they still are. It just so happens that they have A NUMBER ONE ALBUM!!!!! Among others, LOL.

Yay! What fantastic news to end my Wednesday, or start my Thursday as it were. That’s amazing! I’m glad my double purchase paid off. I’m hoping they go diamond, that would be crazy awesome. They must feel so amazing!

Side note: My 5th album came yesterday, I think it was the Team Jonas one! hehe

    My goodness Amanda!

I’m in love with Nick’s voice on the new CD. Especially in Live to Party and well, everything else. He sounds less “whiny” and more mature. Like he still has the whininess thing going but it sounds so much better now.

    Puberty rules!

  12. on August 22, 2008 at 4:49 pm Amanda

Flamom, I agree with you about Nick’s voice. Although I also like his ‘Nicholas Jonas’ singing voice. lol

If any of you have that album, ‘Wrong Again’ is one of my absolute favorite songs. It’s actually a spiritual song. Some lyrics:

How can you look at me that way
When I have failed so many times
Showing me love, you tell the world
    This child is mine
How can you walk that extra mile
I see forgiveness in your smile

I thought you would scold me
    Instead you just hold me
    Thought you would judge me
    Instead you just love me
    So sure you’d reject me
    Wrong again

I also like the fact that you can hear Kev’s voice on a lot of the new songs, too, like “Hello Goodbye” on the Target version.

My daughter and I were discussing the fact that Kevin’s voice sounds A LOT like Joe’s, and I think that’s why some people think he doesn’t sing much, but you know, he sings back up on about every song.

  13. on August 22, 2008 at 5:48 pm cpaig

Oh I love Kevin on Hello Goodbye. Though, I must admit that I missed it the first time I listened to it. We were in the car and LBF was like – that’s Kevin – LOL.

  14. on August 22, 2008 at 5:53 pm Amanda

    He’s all growly…it’s adorable.

  15. on August 22, 2008 at 8:04 pm cpaig

    TOTALLY adorable! *sigh* :)

Wrong AGain is a great truly great song. I think every church should be singing it every Sunday. It’s wonderful.

I love his pre-puberty voice too. It’s beautiful.

I can’t believe that I am this impressed and infatuated with a not-yet-16 year old. LOL!

  17. on August 22, 2008 at 9:57 pm coolmom

You are right about Kevin’s voice Amanda, his voice has a very similar timbre to Joe’s (not surprising as they are siblings). Their blend is very close, so sometimes it can be hard to pinpoint which voice is Kevin’s – especially on the brief back-up phrases he sings. There was no problem hearing him on Hello Goodbye though!

Funny Sugar story about that song. She was asking for me to play “The crickets song, Mommy” the other day. I didn’t know what she was talking about (The Jonas Brothers have no songs about bugs that I’m aware of). Then she said:

“I like the Jonas Brothers singing that song better than the crickets.”

WHAAAAT?, I’m thinking. Then it hits me:
“Do you mean the BEATLES song?” I asked.

“Yes, that’s it, the crickets song.” Sugar said, glad her slow-witted Mother had finally caught on.

Crickets are definitely more loveable than beetles (Beatles, another discussion), I can see why she would prefere to remember them that way. S & S should form a band called The Crickets!!! Before someone steals it. Adorable. :)
