Billboard, Entertainment Weekly and Perez Hilton are abuzz with the news that A Little Bit Longer looks to have shot out of the gate stronger than many expected…an almost assured #1, and likely an easy resident among the top 5 selling albums of the year (!!).
All the hard work (on their part) and devotion (on ours) is paying off!
If it’s up your alley – now would be a good time to go stock up on tissues…I suspect we’ll all soon be crying some tears of relief and joy.

I’ve been crying all week already!
I’m right there with you, cpaig. They also think that “Jonas Brothers” might move up from it’s current #11 spot…and JB would have 2 albums in the top ten. Not since Nsync in 1999 has that happened.
BTW, I was passionate about Nsync in their heydey!
Do I know how to pick ‘em, or what? lol
Seriously!
I saw that as well, and I won’t get my hopes up for that to happen but it’s pretty amazing, just to see it bounce up to #11!
That means a lot of people are catching up their Jonas collection! New fans!
This is not about the album sales, but I thought it worth mentioning because of the bigger picture. Popwatch at EW.com has a nice piece about the free concert they did at the Soho Apple store Tuesday night. But what is really cool is the comments to the article, from mature and emerging fans!

I admit, there was one horrible review, I couldn’t help but send an email to the reviewer and told him that he was in the minority and also told him what he could do with the review (nicely). I told him I was 43, so he didn’t think I was a teen.
I also told him he should quit his day job.
He actually emailed back and was halfway nice but said he stood by his review. He said he hoped that “…I would keep enjoying all different kinds of music, as he does.”
I wish I would have saved it, but I deleted it immediately in a fit of ‘whatever, major loser’! Snort.
Here’s the link to the above mentioned review.

In re-reading it, he DID say Nick sounds like a young John Lennon.
Haha, I know that fit all too well. Haha!
Oh, yes! The Jonasphobe!
I posted that in the comments over where the rest of the reviews are. If it makes you feel any better – that’s the college paper at UC Berkeley!! That helped me dismiss it totally.
Thx, mememoi. I DO feel better. Especially since I just blasted the album at full volume here at my desk at home for awhile.
Amazing how the boys can always cheer me up. Now if I can just figure out how to get hubby onboard…!
My hubby just told me that (to his chagrin) Love Bug was going through his head all day.
And he has only heard it like 3 times.
That’s how we get our husbands on the JB bandwagon: Constant Exposure! The music will do the work for us.
At the risk of sounding like a bragging mom, I’ve given my girls review of ALBL on the reviews post.
Oh – I am on my way over there to comment on it. That made my day Coolmom it was so cool!
My DH likes the new CD! He thinks it is much more mature and contemporary than the previous ones.
He really likes Live to Party! We finally got our CDs in the mail today …. FIN ALLY!
