So, being on the TV beat (since Mememoi has gallantly given up cable*) I have spent way too much time this weekend covering my assignments with three out of the four requiring me to watch the Disney Channel.
LTD was a piece of cake. I tucked in to watch week 2 of The DC Games, but I will not be blogging about it (that task will fall to Little Big Fan with the help of Mememoi). I liked it (GO COMETS!) but watching Disney Channel involves more than just sitting through the shows. For me, the one without a kid, it can be a little grating (or not grating enough – I just can’t seem to turn off Hannah Montana sometimes – LOL).
That being said, considering my reaction to 20/20, I was a little nervous that I was going to hate Studio DC: Almost Live. So I grabbed my notebook, poured myself some wine, and watched it. I really really…(click through the jump to see what I thought of the show, and to watch the clip!)

It was charming, sweet, and funny; those Muppets can do no wrong (GONZO!), and the music was just enough. Also, I thought the “Suite Life of Zack and Cody” skit was funnier than that actual show.
The Jonas Brothers bit clocked in at just over 2 minutes and included pushing, Miss Piggy as Joan S. Jonas, and an abbreviated “That’s Just The Way We Roll” with Ms. Jonas playing the part all of us play when we are singing along in our showers, bedrooms, or cars.
Oh – and look who got to sing with Miley!
Man, I was like being totally prescient.
Though I didn’t exactly appreciate the suggestion that Electric Mayhem had Miley’s band “tied up” somewhere…poor Mike and Kay*!

Just watched the show. I loved it. Especially liked when Kevin tells Miss P. that they are real brothers and smacks Joe, then Joe says “Yeah, actual brothers” and SHOVES Kevin off his stool. LOL
I also enjoyed Miss Piggy shakin’ it with Ashley Tisdale.
No, I swear, I didn’t – LOL.
Gotta love the smacking! I smack Mememoi whenever I get the chance – being that we are “actual sisters” – lol.
I thought the show was so cute. I liked Ashley Tisdale’s part too and thought the Miley part was great (once her dad stopped singing about Buffalo or bad Buffalo wings – whatever).

I loved Miley flirting with Animal, he was always my fav muppet, after Miss Piggy of course.
I think the Muppets should always be on The Suite Life . . .

Miss Piggy was my hero as a diva performer. I totally modeled my stage persona on her – belting vocals with lots of comedy.
I loved her in the Jonas hairdo – though I thought she looked a little like Liza Minnelli? LOL

I may be old, but I’m seriously confused…when did the TCA take place?? I thot they would be live (or at least the same day!) tomorrow night? Help me, please, someone. And, oh yes, Studio DC Almost Live rocked. I dig the two old guys at the end! JB’s short but sweet segment was very cool. I tried to count how many times Joe flipped the hair out of his eye but I ran out of fingers and toes lol. Whenever my daughter and I talk about Joe, my hubby says, “…oh, the one who needs a haircut?” he’ll never understand.

Nope, TCA’s were taped last night and, geez, the press has not been keen on keeping the winners list mum, LOL. So that’s that. The guys did look absolutely adorable.
And Joe’s hair – I adore the guy, he can do almost no wrong in my eyes – but the hair touching has gotten out of control lately. LOL. So maybe I agree with your husband! His hair is always beautiful thing, but these longish bangs…it’s not been a kind cut.
I would like Joe’s hair a little shorter in front too. I like the long bangs, but I still want them to be bangs.
My husband said Miss Joan S. Jonas Piggy looked like Joan Jett! I absolutely loved her hair and outfit. It was the best. She was like a female pig version of Joe.
She does look like Joan Jet – that is AWESOME!

At least I know that they will be on throughout the show (being that they XXX X XXXXX). BUT I want to see what all of these wires are all about, etc.

Love the muppets. Loved DC Almost Live. Thought the whole thing was cute. Noticed Joe touching his hair a fair bit. My Dad also always comments on guys with long (or trendy) hair styles – always says they need a hair cut! LOL.
(But he wasn’t watching last night, of course.)
As soon as I saw the promo for Miss Piggy and the Jonas Brothers, I figured they were going for the Joan Jett looking. Loved their skit.
Oh wow- the flying thing must have been incredibly painful for poor Joe. He must have said 3x how uncomfortable it was – and it looked uncomfortable!! what was the point of that stunt anyhow?
