Are you ready for the Burnin’ Up Tour?
I know it sounds silly, but I plan the outfit I am going to wear to a concert for weeks in advance (maybe longer). I just like to be dressed appropriately and have fun. Being that I am past the age of having a desire to spend days making a homemade shirt, I like to put a look together with things I’ve got adding a few accessories here and there.
OK, OK… let me be honest, I usually buy a whole new outfit.
And it is not because I think the Guys will notice me. It is really because I enjoy dressing up a little. A little extra bling never hurt anybody.
I have already established that I am not a huge fan of tour shirts, but I do have that awesome green JB shirt, the blue tank, and a great “Team Kevin” shirt. The problem is, I have already worn each of those to a show. So I need something new.
What to do, what to do?…
How about a new gear post souped up thanks to the wonderful collage tool at Polyvore. That should do it!
I have for you, after the jump, six outfits. Three are inspired by our favorite Guys, and three are just some fun ideas for summer concert wear. Click through each of the images for detailed shopping information.
*No matter what you wear keep in mind it will likely be very hot so remember to stay hydrated and wear some sunscreen!
Pick You Favorite Jonas!
Kevin
This outfit features a graphic tee reminiscent of the nearly ubiquitous black v-neck tee Kevin wore during the LMITE tour and while touring with Avril in Europe. This one has an awesome gold guitar up one side in honor of his status as lead guitar. I added a double guitar necklace, also in gold, because of his well documented guitar collecting obsession. Additional gold accents ramp up the Black/gold theme with comfy nearly ruin-proof flip flops, a gold-tone belt, and gold bangles up the arm. Finish the outfit off with a cute jean skirt and a pair of aviator glasses.
Joe
We all know Joe looks great in purple and his “purple top/white pants” look has popped up over and over lately. We love it. Add to it “DJ Danger” sunglasses, a kiss pin, and a bell bangle in honor of his tambourine. Finish off the look with gold Chucks.Nick
Nick seems to love that floppy white undershirt with the weird huge pocket. It must be comfy. This outfit is inspired primarily by this pic, but it is a familiar look for him. V-neck white tee, with a cap sleeve, paired with a tailored vest and black city shorts. Add to the look with keyboard belt and flip-flops, guitar earrings, a dog tag necklace (worn in support of diabetes awareness of course), and some black rimmed sunglasses. Hmm… I forgot the drums. Nick, you play too many instruments, LOL.Other Fun Concert Outfits!
Earthy
Peace. Love. Jonas. That is the theme of this outfit. I love the cute tambourine girl tee and heart peace symbol in particular.
Pretty
Girls just want to have fun…and wear pink. A super cute puffed sleeve Jonas tee paired with a supercool guitar pick necklace and lots of heart accents.
Bold
The Guys are never afraid to stand out in the crowd, why should you be? A super bold outfit filled with electric blue, bright yellow, and acid green. I really love the guitar shirt.I apologize for leaving out men and kids. Next post, I promise.

See, this is why I love your blog! Nobody else talks about the important things like WHAT TO WEAR. And your outfits are cute. I only wish I was young/thin enough to wear them. I could, I suppose, shoe-horn myself into an XL edition of the “Kevin” ensemble without looking too idiotic. But who am I kidding? My interest is purely academic, because alas, my family will not be in attendance at Burnin’ Up this summer. I tried to get tickets, but found that the normally $15 lawn seating (bring your baby, bring your blanket, bring your bucket of beer) at our local amphitheatre had risen, for JB to $85 a pop. This is cost prohibitive for my family of four. So I had to give up my fantasy of rocking out to JB with my daughters and hubby. Bummer.
I gather that you ladies will be attending a concert, you lucky, lucky dogs you! So you are my only hope. Will you please blog your experience in excruciating detail so that I can live it vicariously? I don’t mean on film, God knows there will be ENOUGH of that on You-tube. I am looking forward to your excellent commentary and insight. We discerning types are counting on you!
coolmom: Sorry to hear you won’t be able to see a show this summer. That IS a bummer (-_-).
Indeed, we are going! Actually to two shows. For one we are 13th row Kevside!!!! 0_o
The tix were REALLY expensive – it was a bit of a splurge for us.
We will be sure to give you a detailed accounting of our experiences and will be sure to at least take some pics.
I am glad you like the outfits!
Brilliant post!
I love all the looks, and especially how doable they seem. I could totally see how each guy inspired the ensemble. I’m still trying to decide what to wear to the show (let’s just say I better decide soon!) and I’ve been influenced by these outfits. Thanks for introducing me to Polyvore– it’s really fun!
OMJ I love these outfits!! They are SP awesomness!!!
