Agree! [Read]

…Please don’t distract me from the Jonas Brothers again until you’ve got something worth my while.*

YES. I, too, had a completely indignant response to Push Play’s recent coverage in the New York Times.

All I really know of them is the rumor that the lead singer, CJ, is the boyfriend of Mandy, of the song “Mandy“, a Jonas family friend who once dated Joe. Beyond that, I have noted they seem to be a frequent topic of discussion over at (the indispensable) Shine-On Media. All well and good. Not my business.

But I am none too impressed with their attitude. By which I mean, the specific assertion that they are musically and stylistically SO different from (so we can infer they mean somehow superior to) the Boys…and that this in any way means we should like them. Especially since they are crying for notice by standing on the very shoulders of the Jonas Brothers.

I’m quite pleased that the folks at Idolator, who often like to poke fun at the Jonasphere (but have also at times shown them a little begrudging love), apparently agree with me in some sense.
